It’s an ok gym. The gym equipment is a bit outdated and you can tell just buy looking at it and there’s not even a workout machine for every muscle group. Another thing is that some of the more popular workout machines are limited meaning there’s only 1 machine of that type so you have 3-4 different people waiting to use it while the workout machines that aren’t popular at all have about 6 of that same machine. Someone obviously wasn’t thinking when purchasing the machines or the machines just broke over time. The aquatic center is decent, the hot tub and sauna are my favorite. The pools are good too though it can get extremely crowded so you have to fight for some space lol. Last thing are the people that come here. I’ve had many experiences with people in the locker room on the verge of fighting others for little things, for example there was a gentleman on the phone with his girlfriend/wife in the locker room and a random guy went up to him and started screaming at him to get off his phone due to it being against the “rules”. The guy on the phone gave him the finger and then they just went at it yelling at each other. Eventually the guy on the phone ended up leaving and the situation was over. That is just one of the many crazy incidents that I’ve encountered at this gym. Overall it’s a ok gym for a quick dip in the pool or a workout session but...
Read moreMy family has been going here off and on since we moved to Canton in 2015. There is always an issue when we go. They always want to check our membership repeatedly at the front desk. 🙄 I mean 2 -3 people need to repeatedly ask to see our membership number or know our names. It's a bit ridiculous. My teen son would want to go and play basketball and everytime the gym was reserved or all of a sudden full or closed. What are we paying $600 for if we have to get harassed when we go or we can't use the facilities. I stopped going a few years back because it was beyond ridiculous and seemed dicriminatory. My husband goes because it's so close to our home. Today after he was asked to show his membership 3X by 3 different people at the front desk and scaned his barcode to gain entrance he was followed to the weight machine and a woman proceeded to talk to him about his membership again! All while he was lifting 200lbs. I told him to cancel the membership immediately. I'm not sure what the problem is here but I don't have time for it. I've never seen them question or bother anyone else as much as they seem to do my brown family. They should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat...
Read moreMy friend and I were looking for a place to swim laps. I wish I would have read the reviews before driving out of our way. The lap swim was advertised from 6-8pm and we called in advance to make sure the website was correct. What was made available to us was two lanes for several adults (5 or more) and a few kids trying to swim laps and a lane used for swim lessons. After the lifeguards were bringing kids in the lesson lane to do swim tests, disrupting the woman trying to do lessons, the lessons then took over one of the two lanes we were given to swim. We finally decided to get out and go to the lazy river where we were told we couldn’t get in without one of the supplied tubes. All of the tubes were taken. We waited until one’s were available and then noticed people swimming in the river without tubes. Children were also running around the pool deck. We asked a patron if it was always this chaotic and they said “unfortunately”. There should be more organization, set rules, and communication between lessons and lifeguards...
