I’ve been going to farmking for my oil changes the past couple years. The last few times I’ve gone is when I realized how much they lie about their service. One time I went in and they could not take off my tire caps. The issue was that I bought metal ones that ended up fusing on. (Big mistake on my part) the weird thing was, farmking wrote in fake tire pressures on the paper even though they told me they could not remove the caps. That’s when I knew something was fishy. Last weekend I got an oil change again and one of the papers lists off things like “power steering checked and filled” “Washer fluid checked and filled” “Coolant checked and filled” Everything was marked off. But I knew before I went that my wiper fluid was empty. A couple days ago my power steering was getting a tad rough. Turns out most my fluids were low. Never even got a drop of washer fluid. Only things done were an oil change and filter swap. Explains why they get done so quickly. But they lie about the other services they do. Did they not expect people to find out? I also had another bad experience with a hole in my tire but that’s another story. Don’t worry I filled all my fluids myself but FarmKing needs to stop giving those fake papers to customers making them believe all these services were done when someone just makes a bunch of pen marks. It’s lazy and it’s a shame. I may have to take service elsewhere unless someone does something about this. To any customers reading this review, pay attention to these things if...
Read moreWent to Farm King in Canton IL and saw that they had a meat grinder and several other items that I was going to purchase at Bass Pro shops that day. However, the identical grinder was $80 dollars more at Farm King. Almost all of the other items were higher at Farm King also. Surely, they would price match, right? wrong! The response I got from the lady at the front desk was that they do not have to match. I even showed them Bass Pro's price on my phone. I had several hundred dollars worth of merchandise in my cart but decided that I did not like their policy and left the entire cart. Over the years, I have bought a lot of merchandise at farm king only out of convenience of location. I have bought riding mowers, trail cutters, a generator, 4 or 5 guns and the list goes on and on. I will no longer buy at Farm King because it is their policy to price gouge people just because they live in Canton. The price gouging practices along with the lethargic crew in automotive, to the kid with the attitude back in archery and guns make shopping at Farm King a horrible experience! It is disgusting that Farm King feels like they can price gouge people, while giving them horrible service just because they live in Canton. Every resident in Canton should be as offended by...
Read moreI recently needed two tires to be installed on my 1992 Cadillac Fleetwood. I needed a good price, and immediate service, due to my schedule for work on second shift at BLICK Art Materials Warehouse in Galesburg. After a most agreeable estimate, $240 out the door, Mike, the automotive manager, "Made the Sale." I watched as he and his associate, I believe his name was Jared, took great care in removing both tires, and "Cleaning /Restoring" Both 30yr old Rims! Another Man... An Obvious "Old Pro.." was called in to add his years of experience in "Correcting" the most Vital Surfaces of the Rim itself- Inner Lip !
Start - Finish : 29mins!
Friendly, Professional, Great magazines available to pass the time. Also, PERFECT Location in store : Right next to the Firearms/Hunting department! The Man behind the handgun counter, his name eludes me, I have seen in that store for the past 20 years! To say that he is a professional / master of his craft regarding ALL weapons is an understatement!
I have never had a bad experience at the Canton Farm King in the over 20 years I've been visiting this great store!
ALWAYS a Pleasure, Gentlemen!
-Ciao George...
