Unfortunately, I have to give this review 2 stars. My purchase definitely started off as a 5 star experience, however it has drastically changed. I would've given it a 1 star, but the shoe is so cute that I'd like to point that out. I placed my order on 10/31/22 and I was notified that it shipped on 11/22/22 and I was provided the tracking number. Upon receipt of this gorgeous shoe, I sent an email on 11/4/22 to Valencia ( I believe she is the owner), after a follow-up email requesting an exchange for a larger size (the shoe fits narrow, I have wider feet) on 11/5/22, she responded "YES"! No other information was provided at that time, so I replied and asked what she needed from me literally 9 minutes after her email to me and I didn't get a response. On 11/8/22 I sent a follow-up email expressing my frustration with the lack of communication regarding my purchase and how my experience started off so positively. NO RESPONSE. On 11/9/22 I decided to call as I was not being addressed by my email correspondence and I did speak with Valencia. She apologized for the delay and stated that she had been busy. She provided the return information, informed me that I would be responsible for the return fees and I expressed my disappointment as I already paid for the initial shipping of this item. She agreed to swap my size and ship my order back to me at her expense as I was a first time customer. As promised, I shipped my return back VIA UPS and obtained my tracking information. My tracking shows that this order was delivered to their back door on 11/18/22 and on 11/23/22 I emailed Valencia to verify that they had received the return, NO RESPONSE. Present day 11/29/22, NO RESPONSE. I even called on 11/25/22 and left a voicemail requesting a call back, NO RESPONSE. This morning (11/29/22) I sent an email to Valencia requesting a refund and I will purchase from another vendor. Needless to say, this experience has been less than pleasant and I unfortunately will not be patronizing this boutique again. The service is awful. Read moreMy experience started amazingly! I began purchasing from this boutique about two years ago. In May, I purchased a skirt along with some other items. When I received the order, the skirt was not part of it. Instead of receiving the skirt, they mistakenly sent a cardigan that was the same color as the skirt I originally ordered. I reached out to the boutique through DM and emailed twice. Surprisingly, I did not receive a response. Now I am stuck with a cardigan I do not want when I originally paid for a skirt. I am highly disappointed with the customer service from Ora's Closet Boutique. To blatantly ignore a customer's email when the mistake was clearly the boutique's fault is disrespectful, rude, and devalues the company. I've spent several hundred dollars with this business, and this is the thanks I get for being a loyal customer. As a black, woman-owned business, do better!
UPDATE: I want to update my previous review to acknowledge that the owner did reach out and offered a refund, which I appreciate. It's a positive step and shows accountability. Timely and consistent communication can turn a negative experience into a positive one.
