Dollar General — Local services in Cape Charles

Was passing through on our way home. I honestly dont know what I walked into. THE WORST store I have ever seen. I dont see how anybody could find what they needed in that store. It looked like a tornado ripped through the store. We went to the toy isle looking for pokemon cards for my son to open to keep him occupied for the last hour and a half of our trip. Asked the guy at front and he had some but with no price. I asked if he could check and the lady straight up told him no. When I asked about it she said corporate gets made when they check prices. Wasnt even nice about it. The whole time we were in there she was complaining. Just straight nasty attitudes and store. They had a couple packs but we decided not to buy because of her attitude. There aren't a lot of shopping options in the area, and we depended on this dollar store during our week conducting a mission trip in the area. I got a towel and some supplies for a student who has lost some of their items. It's a dollar store, I will say this one was comparatively somewhat poorly stocked but I assume that's because they go through a lot of merchandise. One issue is the parking lot doesn't drain well, at one point I got out of the van parking into probably 4 inches of water. Not sure what the issue is, but the back corner definitely floods. Staff were polite and fast for a dollar store checkout. A good pick if you need some stuff Food Lion won't have, as Walmart is 45 minutes away. Cheap, and you get what you pay for, as usual with...

This is our 2nd year camping at KOA Cape Charles and this place is just as bad as it was last year. I don't believe its the fault of the 1 person running the store. The place is a mess to put it mildly. Shelves not stocked at all. Inventory everywhere. I needed 6 "C" batteries for my pump to blow up floaty and could not find them anywhere. Guess where I found them....on the floor. SMH.... I feel bad for the 1 saleslady working doing her best. I can't imagine how much inventory they've lost due to theft.
