Plants Plus Landscape and Garden Center — Local services in Cape Girardeau

I purchased 2 trees and paid for the installation of the trees. We also purchased some other plants for about $1200 dollars. This purchase was made in the fall. However, we had to wait about 3 months for them to get the trees in stock. Called several times with no call back. Finally, we drove there and all of a sudden are trees were in stock. They said they would install later in the week which 2 people came out and planted the trees. The following fall the trees began dying from the top down. Took pictures and went to Plants Plus and was advised that the trees were planted to deep in the ground. I told them that I paid to have Plants Plus plant the trees. Plants Plus said they would come look at them. This was in fall of 2024, they never came and never called. I have left 4 messages in the past few months and it's now April 2025. No call backs and trees are still having problems. I would recommend you go to another nursery that actually cares about there customers. Spent over $700 for 2 trees. I feel like I have thrown that money...

Not impressed! Wanted to order a couple yellow rose bushes for Mothers Day. Found them on the site and placed the order, all good. Checked the details on the order a little later and noticed it had been cancelled?? No message or reason given. I call the store and that's when i learn they actually don't have the rose bushes in so they had to cancel the order. Maybe call or email and explain the reason why the order was cancelled? Or better yet, maybe have your website synced with your inventory so things like this don't happen? Very frustrating!!

Two things: 1) I do NOT agree this is a "normal part of being a retail shop". I cannot recall a single instance where this has happened to me when placing an order online (be it from a small shop or a large retailer).

2. I would suggest calling the customer BEFORE cancelling their order. Then you could at least offer other options that are available...

I love Plants plus! I always find such a great variety of plants I want that a HEALTHY and live lo ger than a week when planted. I have never had any luck with seeds..ever. Honestly I have bought the$1 a pkg hoping they'd grow. Some came up but always died. I bought some Zinnias seeds at P.P. and literally just laid about 5 on top of some good soil in a starter pot. Wet with water and put a baggie on it. Sat in an indirct sun window. Went back in 3 days and I had all5 seeds up a good half inch. Looking very healthy and a stem growing fron each seach. It was so easy. My new seedlings are now doing the best I've ever grown. I love this store. I'll always buy my plants and...
