Save A Lot — Local services in Caribou

It's a clean value based groceries store in Caribou ME in the little plaza at the northern end of town near the hospital. Lots of parking. The reason I say value based is because. There is no box boys/girls to bag up your purchases. You are your own box person the concept of the store is to run on a minimal crew and it does for the most part there are good values through out the store and a lot of name brand items available the stores layout is very well thought out but there are ton of no name brands as well that you would not usually come across in your more streamlined retailer. But over all you wouldn't go hungry if it was your only food store for 1000 of miles around. It's a nice clean well...

It is called SAVE A LOT for a reason. I cannot be picky about what they offer as it is FOOD on a BUDGET. Sure, the food quality could be a little better, and there could be a little better selection but is a good place to stop quickly on the way home. DO pay attention, some of the products here are WAY over priced compared to local stores. For example, J&J baby shampoo is 7$ here. I got the same bottle at the local Hannaford for 4$. I am not sure if they price match. The store is clean, with plenty of parking. Handicapped accessible. The staff is nice. Check your email for coupons. Sometimes the store sends...

Been shopping at this local for nearly a decade. Always good five star staff and management, but this holiday season was different. New kids working there had clearly rude and negative attitudes, mostly towards seniors. I watched one old guy get harassed through the check-out process by a girl many decades younger than him. After he passed through she laughed at him and ridiculed him for using food stamps. My family and I are re-thinking where we do our shopping. So sorry. Help must be hard to find, or there's not...
