Haven Hobby — Local services in Carlisle Township

First off, this store had the best selection of Gundam there I’ve ever seen. Not to mention they also have a TON of armor and automotive kits as well. A good selection of paints ranging from Tamiya sprays to GSI Creos “Mr Hobby” metal colors. They also carry various other things like scribers, tools, hobby/modeling magazines, and even PLA plate, which is very hard to find at other hobby stores. I will mention that the storefront is small, but they manage to cram so much stuff into what limited space they have. Now because of this, they don’t have other things like collectible figures, RC cars, D&D miniatures, or other model kit types like Bandai “Figure Rise” or the Pokémon PokePla (unlike other hobby shops like HobbyTown). But, to be honest, the positive and relatable staff make up for that. When I go to HobbyTown I tend to feel a bit uncomfortable because they have a more uptight atmosphere, but at Haven, I felt right in my element. The guy at the counter (who I assume is the owner) was chilling with three of his relatives/employees. They all felt approachable and were very friendly. Owner even told me about how often he gets Gunpla stock which is honestly super helpful and makes me want to come back to the store to check their new stock. Great hobby shop and I can’t wait...

What an awesome experience stopping in at Haven Hobby! I was from out of town and had limited time to visit a local store, I chose to visit Haven Hobby and was not disappointed. Full line of hard to find products like AK 3rd gen and real colors. Great kits on the shelf, which you can tell are all specially selected for quality and ratings, the prices are more than reasonable, along with a bunch of paint/tool/diorama/air brush accessories that are always great pick ups. If Im ever back in the area, I’ll definitely be stopping in again. If you are new or a veteran in the hobby you cannot go wrong with stopping in at Hobby Haven, they will take care of you. Also he mentioned if there is something you need and they don’t have in stock, they can definitely get it for you! Can’t beat that. Supporting local businesses is tough sometimes due to so many options nowadays, but Haven Hobby makes it very easy.
