Inasmuch as you can love the dog pound, I think this one seems really well-run. As others have mentioned, it's clean, doesn't smell, there's a calm and personable receptionist behind the desk, someone was coming in to adopt, which was a good thing, and they accepted my donations with appreciation. I could hear dogs barking but they didn't sound terrified, in pain or, I don't know, in undue distress. I did not dare go into the back for fear of coming out with six dogs under each arm. Thier application is a simple one. It consists of a single page document that doesn't require 3 professional references, credit check, vet references, home inspection, building manager/ land lord contact number and an absolute invasion of privacy. +⭐ They made sure the animal in question did not have aggressive tendencies towards other animals. If the animal we were looking at did, they warned us. The dog we got is absolutely adorable and so friendly! I looked more into it and found out it was written by the ASPCA as well as as a Lorraine county dog program and then I called the ASPCA to find out why it was like that it turns out it’s so that Lorain County can make a profit from spaying or neutering the dogs because otherwise they would lose roughly about $60 per dog when it comes to adoption because the actual adoption is only like 25 bucks.
