Busy Bee Garden Center — Local services in Carlisle

I try to support local small businesses but I won't be supporting BB again. Moved here 3 years ago and wanted to order some trees. Spoke with the owner and gave her my info. She never got back to me. I just blew it off and thought I would give another try. Knew exactly what I wanted to order. Stopped in and spoke with the staff and they took my name and number, said the owner would need to talk to me. Two weeks nothing so I stopped in again. Once again took my info. Month later still nothing. So I stopped in again. This time the owner was there so I waited over 20 minutes to talk to her. As I was waiting I spoke with the staff and said I wanted to order a tree for fall delivery. The employee said my timing was great because the owner hadn't ordered for fall delivery yet. Finally owner comes in and I tell her what I want and she tells me she ordered already for the fall and that was it. No apology for never calling me back...no I can order in the spring nothing. She just gave me that answer and walked away like I didn't matter...so I guess to me her place doesn't matter anymore either. I would not recommend this place because of the owner's poor CS skills!

The owner has responded and her response is a total lie! She nor any of her employees attempted to contact me. Notice on any of the complaints made about her she never takes ownership of the issue! It's always the complainers...

Unbelievable. Nearly in tears! My mother turned 93 today. I’m a caregiver to my spouse 2 +hrs away. I woke up today and realized it was her birthday. At 4:45 pm I called Busy Bee and told them I felt so bad that I didn’t get something to my mom earlier. Much to my surprise they offered to deliver it for me and sent pictures of ideas I could choose from. When I looked at my phone and saw their online listing as I waited for the pictures, it said they were closed. It must be a ‘God experience’ but I will also give the glory to BUSY BEE. I might also add that I live in Cedar Rapids and it is always my favorite nursery to visit when I’m home with mom!!! Thank you Busy Bee. They are always super friendly and helpful here. Of course they have all kinds of flowers, herbs, veggies and more. Alone with other garden supplies. If you are looking for a little compost to add to your garden, or container garden, they will sell that by the bucket full. (You provide the bucket) $1 for a bucket of bulk compost. For this apartment dweller with a container veggie garden on my patio, I appreciate being able to take a bucket to fill with compost. (Just don't go too soon after a big rain. It's easier to deal with when it's dryer) They also do bulk topsoil and mulch (not bagged), but you have to buy...
