I am a very honest person when it comes to everything I know is wrong. My initial thought when I came to register to this campus was it isn’t very welcoming towards people of other complexions. Compared to Camden County and RCSJ was that it felt like a family like I was home and I belonged. I did get accepted into the LPN program 23-24. It’s been rough and hard as bleep. I have kids a home a job and all I been in the computer nonstop since I started. It’s super unorganized 3-4 syllables for 1 class&lab. Intro is supposed to be easy worth 2 credits getting us slowly ready for the next faze of PN. It’s basically up to yourself/self taught to figure out what to study what will be on Quizzes/Exams. Seriously you can’t memorize everything and not know what questions you’ll get. Labs are more pleasurable the students/classmates helped me figure out how to do a lot. ATI is a joke. Remember be online for 1 hour always get 90% or above in the ATI module or you’ll get kicked out of labs and obtain a 0% for not meeting their benchmarks. The students never wanted to meet up to study or exchange notes. Everyone is out for themselves. Let not forget the fact that quite a few students have been cheating on Quizzes & Exams while I am studying my bum off and still failing. Quizzes & Exams don’t define you, your skills to help people remain healthy isn’t based off your exams it’s based off your ability, your passion and your knowledge. I know I failed this course since you can only pass it with a 78% or better. I just wanted to provide a better life for my kids guess I’ll have to try again at a...
Read moreI would like to express my satisfaction as well as my dis-satisfaction with certain programs at Salem Community College. The business program is an exceptional program that provides adequate support to aid and assist the students to not only pass the class but to be successful in their many endeavors to grow. Whereas the nursing program is the opposite. The nursing program do not have an organic approach to aid and assist students in providing the necessary tools needed to pass and to be successful in the field of nursing. It’s all about exams and the grades you acquire from those exams. Nursing is all about treating patients from a holistic approach. It shouldn’t be predicated on exams and grades like they teach you in the nursing program at Salem Community College. Nursing is all about caring, communication, problem solving, willingness, commitment, time management, and problem solving to say the least. And, to add insult to injury, the school circulates a message indicating that exams and grading is what makes a good nurse. It is in my opinion, that the leadership of the nursing program should become more proactive in providing a quality education for ALL students by hiring and training better educators who interacts and engages the students in knowledge of the lesson. By doing this it will help the students gain a better understanding of the lessons taught and not feel discouraged, disheartened, and dispirited. Nursing is not about how well you take an exam, and this is what Salem community college program is about so they can rank number one school for...
Read moreIf you are interested in scientific class technologies, there is literally no better place in the United States to learn. I use literally quite well in that sentence, it is the only school in the United States that teaches this as a degree program. This place is it. That doesn't mean that they skimp on the quality. My interactions with SCC glass staff and administration have been nothing but stellar. Every single person there knows what they're talking about. And they are eager to teach you. You need to do something, times tools and resources are made available for you to do it. The lab is open to you as long as you're a student, any good to do almost anything. The instructional staff is nothing less than...
