Twice Is Nice — Local services in Carol Stream

Today's visit was very disappointing. I normally love this shop. I always can find things to buy whenever I go. But today as I put my items on the checkout counter I noticed a spot, that appears to be marker and probably won't come out of a shirt. I also noticed it was missing one of the buttons, which would pretty much be impossible to match, so I'd have to replace all the buttons. So I asked if they'd consider reducing the price. The first girl said "I don't know if we would", and just stood there instead of asking someone for help. So, I asked another employee. Her response was "no, we wouldn't", without asking perhaps a manager if they could. I'd also point out that I was buying several additional shirts, so, perhaps someone would want to talk to these young employees about keeping customers coming back. These are donated items, obviously damaged in this case, would it hurt to check further in a situation like this? I got a bit turned off and probably no longer could call it one of my favorites resale shops after...

The selection was nice and the store was very organized. But the one thing I didn't appreciate was being followed around by 2 of the associates. One was a older woman with dirty blonde hair and the other was an younger girl with dark hair. My sister and I were walking around with items, not sure if they felt we were going to steal because it was our first time in there and we took our time. But it didn't feel great. When I went to ring out the two young associates were giggling and making faces when my sister and I were standing there. They didn't offer a bag for my items, as we walked away they started laughing. Not sure what we did. Our money is good everywhere and we spent over $40 at this location.

Was our first and last time here, we don't appreciate being profiled...

I love shopping here, I never know what I will find. I have found clothes for me and my family, books, kitchen utensils, craft supplies, jewelry and music CD's. They have one dressing room. They have a huge lot for parking. Donations are made daily so plenty of new items everyday. Prices are more competitive than Good Will. Donations can be made on the east side of the building. They request you only drop off coming from the south. Christmas items are now being put out for sale. I found a Karen Neuburger Christmas...
