I would not recommend this home to anyone. The private room rate raised constantly and administration would not bother to tell any of our family about the rate increase until we checked in. Therefore, when we checked in we would often be behind several hundreds of dollars because administration had not notified us as promised. On several occasions when me or other family members popped in without notification we were appalled at the nastiness of my moms room. When we complained to the Director we were given the same story and apologies over and over but nothing ever changed. The quality of care went down hill as my moms health declined. Upon my moms passing we called for a balance on her account prior to our removing all of her items in her room. At no time we were told additional money was owed until a family member went to withdraw the small amount in moms account. At that time we were slapped with an additional $300.00 that was due. Funny no one mentioned that when we called prior t emptying moms room. If indeed the amount was owed (I have my doubts) why would the administration not have know that and informed us when we called to tell them of her passing? This is only a few things that come to mind. Seems to me the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. If you are unfortunate enough to need a nursing home facility for a loved one, I urge relatives to do pop in visits, clearly this is needed to keep everyone honest and provide the proper care to your loved one. Unfortunately, you have to give at least one star to have...
Read moreThe staff are always polite and courteous with my dad. I know he is getting much better care than I could do myself. Christy is always available if I have questions or concerns. She provided me with her cell phone number the day I moved dad to the facility. Kathy, the Director of Nursing is an excellent example of what a hard worker is. She is one of the most caring people I have ever met. Cindy is fantastic too. She transports my dad to his appointments. I’m very thankful that my dad is there and I appreciate all of the staff that help...
Read moreMy loved one is currently at this facility. I have had several family members at this facility and they have all been well taken care of. This place is like home for my loved one and at times I feel like I live there to because the staff treat you like family. The administrator, Christy Barter is the best she is always there when I need her. Scott Stout, CEO told me when I first moved my loved one there that nobody tries harder then Christy. I hands down recommend Carrier Mills Nursing & Rehab Center...
