We were skeptical of any of the city sponsored venues due some subjective reviews of non-returned deposits, dirty facilities, late arrival of employees to open, etc. BUT this was not the case. Casey Stewart was our point of contact for our event & he was early, courteous, thorough & respectful. From reserving the event to our returned deposit, we had a pleasant experience & would recommend. There is ample parking, handicap/ mobility impaired ramp & bathrooms, small kitchen & cleaning supplies in an adjacent room. Bring your own serving utensils & pots if you are cooking. Upon our arrival, the venue was sligjtly dirty but our major concern was the use of glitter from a previous event being blamed on us & losing our deposit. We pointed it out to Casey & he acknowledged it was not our fault. A recommendation to Cartersville Parks & Rec - get some of the tapestry banners & hang in between the windows OR sound dampener panels & hang from the ceiling. It is very loud & the echoes really take away from the occasion. All in All, great place, great staff & great experience. Thank you!

Nice venue, I am glad they remodeled it a few year ago. There is a small kitchen space, but plan to bring your own pots, serving spoons, soap, sponge, and towels. The bathrooms are stocked, though. Note of caution, .... People from our church have booked this building lots of times over about a 10-year period, and here lately, they are consistently late showing up to unlock the doors so we can set up. This last time, they were over an hour late, and we needed to get in to set up for a wedding. We had to hustle pretty hard to make it happen, and we're still finishing up when guests started arriving. The worst part about it was the guy that eventually showed up to unlock the place, made it seem like we were at fault, and we were in the wrong, although we were nothing but polite to him. This kinda treatment has happened before, although not them showing up that late. So they lost a star for customer service, and they should have given the family that rented the place a partial refund. They have not given one or even offered an apology.

The Parks and Rec Dept was very helpful and friendly setting up the rental. The facility is well maintained and clean. We used the area while the sun was at an angle to shine through the windows. We had to rearrange the seating to avoid the glare. The comments I got back from participants were positive. Some complaints about the acoustics and noise from passing traffic.
