H-E-B — Local services in Carthage

I LOVE H-E-B but 2 of the cashiers that work at the Carthage store that I encountered are not H‑E‑B quality. I’m from Austin and went to H‑E‑B for years until I moved to Shreveport temporarily and never had an issue with anything or anyone. It makes me not want to go to that store anymore. I asked a question to one of them and she gave me an ugly look. Another time I went in the buy these H‑E‑B snack trays, they are similar to Lunchables and I got 6 of the bc they were 2 for $3. I go to check out and I asked her if the rang up at the sale price and of course said no. She asked me if I had a paper coupon and I said there weren’t any to get. She goes back there to look, comes back and said I’ll give you 2 of the 6 the sale price but the others you will have to pay full price. I asked was there a limit on the amount I could get for that price and she said no. I didn’t persist bc there was a line of ppl behind me. I know not to compare this H-E-B to the large ones found closer to Houston and San Antonio, but... I went in looking for a small pkg of dog training pads and a small container of wet dog food for my 14 ye old toy Chihuahua. Found a high priced dog food but no training pads. Was looking around for something I might be able to use for her since we were passing through the area. No employee asked if I needed any assistance as everyone I saw with a uniform including a manager was too busy talking and laughing with one another.

Looks like Brookshire's is the best in this area and that is a shame. Any H-E-B I have been in the lower part of Texas has ALWAYS greeted me walking in the door and asking me if I need any assistance shopping there. Carthage should learn from the big boys how customer...

Idk how this place is as a store as I've never shopped here but I came in for an interview and was 1min late and was turned away by an employee who wasn't even the interviewer. The interview saw me walk in and walked right back into his office. I feel disrespected and disappointed that that even occurred. HEB must not need employees that bad if they are turning people away the second they walk through the door. I just wish they would've Gave me a chance because surely not everyone can be there exactly on time sometimes things happen like for instance the traffic i got stuck in, despite the traffic i still made it at 10am and walked in at 10:01.
