Peddler — Local services in Cave Spring

This post is long overdue (busy mom life!), but I just had to share my incredible, heartfelt experience….

On Christmas Eve 2024, the owner, Rip, went above and beyond for me and my son during what was a bittersweet holiday. His kindness and generosity were a beautiful reminder of the goodness that still exists in the world.

Discovered this fun shop on a road trip through GA. The Peddler houses Martha Jane's Fudge Shop. I'm not ordinarily a big fudge fan, but this fudge is INCREDIBLE! The cranberry fudge (available during winter holiday season) is absolutely amazing--everyone I've given it to has loved it. The peanut butter chocolate is also heavenly. Martha Jane's fudge is super creamy-smooth...not ever grainy. Great Christmas gift. The folks at The Peddler have always been wonderful when I order fudge to ship as gifts. Friendly service, delivery has always been on time and fudge is fresh....

BEWARE. The man who runs this Shop has a terrible, hot temper and will take it out on you in a flash.

I simply asked for clean large squares of fudge for gifts, and instead he ignored me and started to weigh out a chopped up piece with other colors of fudge smeared on it.

When I explained that I needed the large pieces for gifts he turned hostile and actually shouted that he "could't please me" and stood there glaring at me.

I left in fear that he was going to turn violent. I hope he gets help. Whatever his problem is, he shouldn't be running...
