South Carolina State Farmers Market — Local services in Cayce

"Drove Ms Daisy" (Mama) here to browse the pumpkin/flower/fall displays following some dental work for her. She found her some pumpkins and gourds for decorating her house. We had lunch at the restaurant on site. The green bean casserole was great temperature hot/well seasoned/soft enough for Mama to enjoy after her dental procedure. 👍😁 We did enjoy our conversation with the owner of the displays of Pansy Flowers with ornamental peppers at the first booth area on the left as we entered the Farmer's Market location. (Sorry, I can't recall the NAME of the nursery at the moment.) Beautiful color varieties of hearty pansy flower plants! 😍👌💐 One issue of "constructive criticism" overall (seeing that I was driving Mom's LARGER SUV): if part of the shed is CLOSED OFF to drive all the way through, CLOSE THE ENTIRE CENTER OF THE SHED TO VEHICLES!! Very FRUSTRATING to get halfway through the shed BEHIND OTHER VEHICLES to THEN learn that the "drive thru" is CLOSED! Making EVERYONE have to find a way to CAUTIOUSLY turn their vehicles around or back out of the shed! NOT an easy task for every vehicle or driver... Especially when more vehicles are trying to ENTER the shed BEHIND you while you are trying to...

I visited this outdoor fresh market yesterday to get some fresh fruits and vegetables, since it's been a few years since I've been back to them. The truth is that I actually keep forgetting about about this market, only because it's about 30 minutes away from the house. This is a very affordable and reliable market, if anyone who has a budget and enjoys supporting their local farmers. They have plenty of vendors and you can find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, pumpkins, plants, and many other things. They have plenty of parking and they can accommodate small and large vehicles. The whole market is outdoors and underneath large buildings so that you're protected from any raining weather. When I went yesterday the weather was very comfortable, so it was very pleasant to just walk around and shop for some good deals. With the COVID-19 pandemic precautions policy, all the vendors was wearing face masks and there was social distance between customers.

Overall...it reminded me that I should revisit them more regular about every 2 weeks. I'm positive that we will be back in near future and I will recommend them for friends and...

I have mixed feelings about our state farmers market. The first section where you purchase flowers and trees, that was great. So much to choose from. The next section, straight back to the right, there were not vendors in the area just near the food trucks. We by chance just drive around to discover alot of the food vendors were way in the very farthest side of the farmers market. There was no signs indicating this. Why were the vendors not set up where people can see them and all of their offerings? The State Farmers market should improve, I know they can do better. Hiding the vendors doesn't help them sell very much. I live here, I can't imagine what Visitors think pulling off the Interstate and not knowing to drive all the way to the far side and behind their commercial warehouse areas to find farmers selling products! Do better. Makes no sense to have empty space right up front and the food vendors completely out of sight and behind...
