It seems the business template has changed post Covid. They aren’t open on the weekends so that changes when I can come. You order at the register, pay, and tip while standing and they bring your order when it’s prepared. They don’t come check on you to see if you need anything so I’m uncertain what the gratuity is for if not that personal service at the table. You now eat off paper plates or cardboard style if I’m being honest along with the flimsiest plastic utensils on the market. I’m assuming the expectation is to clean up after yourself since there is a large trash can near the door. Read moreThe Farmer's Market is about 15 minutes from downtown Columbia. As is this wonderful little place there. The Market is perfectly described as classic country cooking. Everything here is made the way my mama would've made it. The grits were wonderfully creamy and delicious. The pancakes are thick, light, and fluffy. The sausage is out of this world. Obviously, cutting corners with frozen, out of a bag fries and onion rings. Plastic wrapped cheese-like food product. Probably frozen burgers due to perfect size and thickness. Packaged thin sliced ham on the club and no turkey... nothing at all like the pictures. Near translucent tomatoes sliced so thin. Served in the dining room in a styrofoam to-go box and plastic fork. $34 for 3 people. Smh... maybe breakfast...
