First off, I’ve been going to this spot 3 or 4 times a week for a year. They’ve got the same core staff plus a few new employees every now and then. It’s interesting that every time I go in I make it a point to say hi, ask how they are, ask how the new store is coming along, when it will be done, joke and laugh with them, and I know each of them by first name. I just try and be a nice person. Not one of them could tell you who I am if I walked in right now. My kids come with me too sometimes. They buy treats and my girls have even made drawings for the ladies there. It feels like they couldn’t care less. It’s sad really. Even if they don’t remember who we are, at least be nice. I don’t think that’s very hard. I’ve seen them treat “regulars” like gods. Wonder how long it takes to become on of those regulars? I think the extra few miles to Lins is probably worth it...
