Hockey games are always entertaining with the Rough Riders. Some nights they feature special promotions or activities for the crowd. Concessions can be purchased in multiple locations, but prepare for a line.
Try your luck in the 50/50 raffle; if you win, half of the pot goes to you, while the rest goes to support youth hockey. You can also buy "throws" for Chuck a Puck, whoever throws their rubber puck closest to the target (out on the ice) wins a prize. Other audience activities are available game by game.

Read moreI have been playing hockey at this rink since it opened in 1999, with that said it seems like the rink is being missmanaged as the boards on the ice are in need of repair. the west end doors have not been closing flush with the fixed boards for many years now causing weird puck bounces and multiple people to get their stick stuck in the door and on some occasions break the stick as a result. Read moreThere's plenty of parking. Even if the ImOn lot is full, the CR Kernels lot just a few yards away is another option. For the Roughrider games, it's always energetic and the interactive announcer is the best. Very entertaining without being cheesy🤣. I typically go here just for open skate times and an occasional stick time. The schedule online when skate times are is very easy to understand. There are two ice rinks in the arena (one NHL size and one Olympic size). Honestly, I prefer skating on the OLY one.
