My 86 year old mother has been shopping at Farmers Furniture for what seems like decades. She has spent thousands of dollars with them. But now that she's gotten older they dont seem to have patience with her. She had ordered a mattress set to be delivered and then discovered how much delivery cost so she had me to go pick them up. (elderly = fixed income) The manager raised her voice and was very rude to me and she seemed angry that my mom changed her mind. She told me the mattress set wasn't there, but my mother saw it when she was in the store. When I told my mother how the manager reacted she just called and canceled the entire order. This manager should learn that when somebody spends thousands in your store over years and years, dont treat her like crap because she grew old but still wants to spend money in your store, yet you just lose patience with her while shes trying to figure out what shes doing and how shes going to do it. You are lucky it was me you spoke to the way you did and not my mother in front of me. I assure you, it would have been handled in a totally different way. And then, in the long run, mama came back out there and ordered mattresses from you again because she wants the quality and now she has it set up for somebody to come help her get them home so she doesn't have to pay an extra $100 just to get them across town. (Trust me, had I known she was doing that, I would have convinced her to come to Rome to get her mattresses.) I know if the manager of the store reads this she will know exactly who Im talking about, and Im asking you all to please show my mother some grace as she ages and continues to be a loyal customer. ps....I dont know if you were just having a bad day or if you are really that impatient with your elderly customers all the time.    Read moreWe bought a sofa here paid cash plus bought the extra warranty with it as well. (Waste of money) Within months the sofa started to fray and the seams and the stuffing in the back attached pillows started to fall into the sofa. My son went to sit on it and since the filler started to fall out his back hit the wood back rest of the sofa(painful situation). The throw pillows started to split at the seams as well leaving filler everywhere. We called they sent someone he said yeah this is not good let me call in the parts could be a couple months. That was shocking but yeah we get it. Well in that time the sofa just began to break down even worse. Which as most know when something starts to break it just gets worse and worse. Guy comes back for a second trip to what we thought would be to repair and we were wrong. He looked took more pictures and said yeah it is breaking bad. I only got half the parts. We went to the store to see if we could just upgrade or something to make us whole. The manager said give them 25% off this would be a total loss for us other wise. I am sure she didnt think we could hear her so now we have a couch that is worthless and we can't even sit on anymore. I will put reviews about this store and the company any place I can. The sad part is the guy who came to our house and the lady who sold to us the sofa were really nice. The product not so great. It has been months and we have heard nothing.    Read moreThe first experience going in was great, I tried a few beds and picked out the one I wanted, the lady was very helpful in guiding me what I will need in getting a bed and was very clear on prices and what to expect so I got a nice bed I was comfortable buying for my new home. The problem was with the delivery, I only ordered 3 things, the mattress, the springboard and the metal bed frame. The delivery people forgot my bed frame! And because they forgot it they insisted that I need to pay an additional 99$ delivery fee to fix their mistake! This is for a ten minute drive down a street at most to get back to the store. Then they just left the rest of my bed in its packaging on the floor of my bedroom, which means the assembly part of their promise that I payed for was not met. I still don’t have the bed frame I ordered and I still have not gotten any refund. I will not be using this business again...
