Penny Pinchers — Local services in Cedartown

I enjoy shopping here. It’s cost plus 10% and they have a different selection than the other stores in town. There’s a nice selection of Latino cuisine here which happens to be my favorite! There’s fresh produce of great quality. My boyfriend loves the Vienna sausage in barbecue sauce and this is the only place I can find it. Also I love the peach & mango cool aid and the sharkelberry fin cool aid and this is the only place I find it. (Don’t judge) lol. The big stores, (not calling any names), never have any of the 3 items I listed. The deli has a wide variety of delicious prepared foods daily and the employees are very friendly. I will continue to shop there as often as I can! Update 2/15/2025 I took the elderly man I help shop to this store a couple of days ago and as I got close to the door a woman who works there was sitting outside on the bench smoking. She looks at me and said "Mam you can't park there" For a moment I seriously thought that she was joking. I've seen her and spoken with her several times in the past and we always seemed to have good rapport. I realized that she was serious. She spoke to me as if I were stupid. She said that the place where I parked is for employees only and everyone knows that. I looked back at my vehicle to see if there were any markings indicating that employees Park there. There was not. I was already having a bad day. I really didn't want any drama so I looked back at her and she was giving me an evil stare of seriousness. I turned to walk back to my vehicle and she said " no you don't have to move it this time but in the future remember not to park there, everybody knows that is for employees. I went into the store to tell the man I brought there that I would be waiting in the truck and that I was not shopping there anymore nor would I be bringing anyone else to shop there in the future. I went back to the truck and waited for him for about an hour in which time I recorded the woman. She spent about forty-five minutes of the hour sitting and smoking and looking at her phone. I thought the owner listed as Paul Davis may want to know what he is paying her for, to sit outside smoking and looking at her phone and running off customers. I was parked closer to the dollar store that is now empty. I work as a mystery shopper and I know that stores have employees park away from the front because they want their customers to have the best parking spots not because employees are special. I won't take any of the parking spaces in that lot again unless I can speak about the matter with the owner. I help people shop often but I won't do it there. I'm not sure what the woman's name is but I'm guessing that it's Caren? What...

It is the first place I've ever been to there's supposed to be a discount and the prices are pretty much about the same and then they add 10% too the total price I've never seen this before some products are about the same price some products a little cheaper but by the time they add to 10% at the end of the billing it ain't no different nowhere else it's the same price and I don't know how they say they're cheap because really they're not not what I did now that's the only place I've ever seen where you can get you like a little I guess it'll be a fourth of a gallon of milk I know that was pretty neat I mean they got no they got products that Hispanic products and their laundry products are a little cheap but like I said by the time you add the 10% to the price I don't see how it's cheaper but I don't know maybe I could be wrong thank you for letting me give my opinion you...

Penny pinchers claim to be cost plus 10% well that is not exactly true! You pay for the price they have it listed for plus 10% added to you total at the checkout. I compared the price on basic everyday item at the grocery store against Kroger which people say is over priced and guess what? Penny Pinchers was higher by about .30cents to almost 1.00 not to mention if I had bought the items and checked out they would have added another 10% on top of the overpriced items to begin with.
