Edit - They can respond to a review in an hour, but can't actually return a phone call. On top of this, the sales associate said that he couldn't see the pictures clearly which is why they need a rep out in the first place. While I welcome the opportunity for Abbey Carpet and Floor to make it right, based on their response seems like they care more about trying to save face on Google versus actually making things right and following up with the Customer via phone like discussed. I'll update the review if they work to make it right. If no additional update - you have been warned. Don't regret spending your money with a company who disregards you as soon as they have your money.
Super disappointed that this company doesn’t stand by their work! Had this company put in a product with a life time residential warranty, when I needed to put in a warranty claim they said they needed an estimator to come see. We scheduled it and I moved meetings around to accommodate their schedule. With less than 4 business hours notice they canceled the appointment and said they didn’t have capacity to send anyone out, yet when I had a friend call to see if they could get someone out there for new business they set it up for the very next day! Beware if you purchase any products from them with a warranty - you will only be left hanging when you try to get...
Read moreI had a bad experience today at Abbey’s Carpet. Walt Huber, a salesman, was the most unprofessional person I ever met. During my first trip, he walked me around looking for samples of carpet. After picking a few, he said that was enough because I will get confused. I was not even done looking at all of them, but I took a few home.
A few days later, I went back & advised him that I was going to continue shopping because I didn’t find anything from the previous samples that I took home that would match my new furniture.
He said he was busy and I did see him helping another lady. But, after awhile, a couple walked in & he helped them before he helped me. I was happy when another sales lady offered to help me. Carol was great. She showed me every single carpet they had & offered suggestions.
Today, I went back to return the samples & asked him for the price on the carpet I chose. His response was “why do you need a price?” I said because I need to know if I can afford it. He just couldn’t comprehend why I wanted to know.
I lost my patience & told him he needed a desk job, not a sales job. At that point I asked for a different sales person to help me & Alicia was absolutely wonderful.
What should have been a happy experience shopping for new carpet, turned out awful.
I complained to the manager & she was going to...
Read moreWe hired an independent installer to do our tile work, and he ordered supplies from Abbey for us. Our project was time sensitive and Abbey was very slow with everything. Our installer provided square footage to Abbey. They did nothing for one week, so I stopped in the store to put down a deposit. They took my deposit, and still took 5 days to place the order. They ordered the wrong grout, despite being given the details, so we had to choose a new color, do a return, re order, and wait another week. They also overestimated the amount of tiles needed for the footage. We were left with 85 extra 13 x 13 tiles, over $200 in cost. We ended up selling these on Craig's list rather than dealing with Abbey any further. They also had invoice miscalculations and were unable to find the paperwork at times. Would...
