White Cottage Mercantile — Local services in Center

My friend and I finally got to visit WCM, after following them on facebook for a long time and admiring their posts. It's a very cute shop. On Friday December 6, 2024 between 4pm-5pm.

The shop is very cute with a large variety of items. I felt the prices were mid to high, but others may see them as ideal.

My only issue is if you're going to have loss prevention, make sure that they aren't so obvious! The middle aged male employee, who pretended, terribly, to be browsing in our vicinity, made it incredibly obvious that he was watching us. He was giving those hungry eye vibes. My friend and I, run our own homestead/farms, and maybe we don't fit your typical customer profile. We're typical jeans, tshirt, boots, and ball cap attire! Neither one of us carried a bag or a purse! So your male employee wanting to play creepy stalker dude, wasn't real wise! Your employee definitely needs some training if he's going to profile and follow someone that closely! I don't have a problem with preventing theft! I hate thieves! But, you all need a better, less offensive way to go about it. Be a little more discreet, more cameras, and definitely don't send a man to do a woman's job! When the male switched out with the older dark haired woman, she did a better job of hanging around, and observing, but not insinuating!

We went with my sister to pick up her kitchen table and ended up putting in a custom order for a gunsmith table. Let me tell ya, I have the fanciest gun bench in Texas now! The order was completed in less than a month and the staff was so friendly. I will definitely order more from them...
