This hospital is by far the worst hospital I've ever been to. I was in the emergency room last Sunday night with an asthma attack and massive migraine I've ever had. I was in panic mode cause I couldnt breath and my head hurt so bad. I was crying and asking them to please help me. They would not do anything to help me breath or anything. All they did was a chest xray. I was in a full blown panicky attack and they kept telling me to calm down and that the dr. Wasnt going to give me anything for pain. I never asked for pain meds I ask them to help me. I couldnt breath so they were just sitting around and so I told them if they were not going to help me I was leaving . They said to go right ahead because you want quit acting the way your acting anyone with asthma knows that when your in an attack you cant help but to panic. So I left and after I got home they called me to come back because something showed up on my xray . Really oh but now they wanted me to come back because if something happened to me they would be liable. The nursing staff was horrible and Dr. Girza showed no care about me or weather I was able to breath all they cared about was getting their selves out...

I am rating the hospital. Candice in particular. There was confusion on my discharge time, but I will bypass that. I was completely unable to walk. This was never addressed, but my kidneys received the best of care. On Tues I was able to stand and rotate to the potty. The physical therapist asked I wanted to walk in the hall and I told her that was impossible and that I was not sure if I could walk from my ride to the front door. She asked how far it was and I showed about 30 feet. The day I was discharged I asked if they were going to wheelchair me out and I was told that they thought I could walk the long distance. (I thought hospital policies required a patient to be wheeled out) I told them I couldn't. I get home Wednesday and my sister called Candice and asked if I could get a home health nurse and Candice told her that I could walk fine and that even the physical therapist told her that. I seriously doubt she was told that. It is now Saturday and I can move enough to go to the toilet or make myself a cup of instant coffee before my legs get shakey and weak. This is in reference to the billing office for Ascension Saint Thomas Hickman. I will skip the long details and just say this....make sure you give all the insurance information to the person in charge, but wait! Look to MAKE SURE they correctly list your insurance! I have called the business office at least 20 times (number listed on the bill) and one person finally picked up!! They gave me another number which also netted me zero return calls. I finally paid $600 just to keep the bill off my credit. Now, it has happened again after another visit. I think this is a way to make you pay large sums that insurance would have paid! I can't submit this to my insurance myself, so I'm out $600 twice $1,200. This has gone on since last April, 2023!
