We enjoyed an amazing tasting of vodka, rye whiskey, bourbon, reserve bourbon, root beer bourbon, raspberry moonshine, peach moonshine, mango moonshine, blackberry moonshine, apple pie moonshine, cinnamon moonshine, candy cane moonshine, and pickle moonshine. So. Many. Liquors. šŸ˜‚ You pay $12 for the glass (choice of two glasses to choose from) and the tasting is free because WV laws are stuck in the prohibition era. I've never tasted a vodka that I'd be happy to sip on the rocks! Devil's Due has done it. The location is SUPER cute and has outdoor seating. We also had a free tour of the area where the magic happens. Joe was affable and funny with his succinct yet knowledgeable presentation of how the goods are made. He let us in on a bit of insider info about how Devil's Due has purchased nearby acreage in order to expand their operations. In the coming year or so, I believe their eclectic compound will rival Black Draft, but with more and better offerings. ā¤ļøšŸ‘ Look forward to visiting again! We Christmas-shopped early for our tough-to-purchase friends 🤣

Stopped in on a wet cool fall afternoon to sample their whiskey. we were immediately welcomed as we entered the warmly decorated tasting room. We were invited to taste their wares which included a bourbon, a rye, maple flavored bourbon and four flavored moonshines. They mostly use local supplies to make their products whiskeys as well as the stock in their gift shop. The bourbon was good, enjoyed the maple flavored bourbon, which was not too heavy on the maple. However my favorite was the rye, some may consider this one as having a bit too much of the peppery notes as it slides down the back of your tongue, this is what I like so I bought a bottle for sipping on the porch. The master distiller then gave us a tour of the distilling area and discussed his plans for the distillery and property. During our visit a local farmer stopped in to pickup the spent wort for his hogs, happy pigs. We hope to return in a few years to see how it's going.

This is a business that supports other local businesses. Their ingredients are locally sourced. They have great bourbon, whiskey, other tasty adult beverages too. Great customer service too. We really enjoyed the tour in the back where the magic happens. The wood inside the place was all sourced off the property. The place has a nice feel to it and we really enjoyed the visit and tasting. We had a tough time deciding which bottles to bring home—ultimately the maple whiskey won and we grabbed some apple moonshine too. I can’t say they will last long as they are so smooth and easy to sip. We will definitely be back. Word on the street is they will have a peach moonshine soon.

Such an excellent group of people. You won't find a nicer and more accommodating distillery around. Everyone here is so nice, they walked us around the facility, explained the process of distilling and creating various spirits and did so just to share their passion with us. They are incredibly intertwined within their community, utilize local sources for their products, and ultimately just show us that you can be both business oriented and still treat your customers like neighbors. I will return the next time we are in West Virginia, even if just to say hi. If you are in the area please stop by and treat yourself to a wonderful experience.

Edit: Every year when we visit WV we make sure to stop in and visit Devil's Due. This will be year number 3 and Ken has been such a great host each visit. The passion of the team is still palpable. The only downside to this place is that I spend so much money because I have to bring back some of everything they distill. For an amazing whiskey, and amazing conversation with amazing people there is no better place to visit when you are anywhere within 50 miles of them. We will see you guys in a...

A buddy and I were exploring the Harpers Ferry area on a camping trip and walked into Devil's Due Distillery with no real expectations. However, we walked out with an experience that won't be forgotten.

We were met by Ken, whose passion and expertise in DDD's craft were on full display. He's a lifelong moonshiner — it's legal in West Virginia — and shared tales of his hobby while guiding us through a tour of their many varieties of spirits.

Over the course of three whole hours, Ken was extremely attentive, sharing his rich perspective generously while we hung on every word and savored every sip. One of our surprising takeaways: corn whiskey has long deserved a respected place in the same pantheon as its brethren, such as bourbon, scotch, and rye. At Devil's Due, there's obvious care and artistry at play as they craft and serve this underappreciated-but-enduring distillate.

We parted a little after closing time, "spiritually enriched" from a wholly unexpected and transformative experience.

Thank you, Ken! We...
