King’s New York Pizza- Kearneysville — Restaurant in West Virginia

Very good Italian, solid pizza for a slightly more than average price. I don't know why they seem to have lower ratings than they do. Although they do deliver, it is not what this chain caters to primarily. They have a great selection and most everything is made upon order. Their house bread is to die for. The bread is very soft and tasty on the inside while having a very slight crunchy crust. Their caprese was made fresh with fresh tomatoes and basil. Very good. The spaghetti with meat sauce and pink sauce was great. My wife was in her own world eating this with that satisfied look of bliss on her face. I ordered the spaghetti with sausage and pink sauce which was the best sausage I've had in a very long time. The pink sauce was the perfect blend. The spaghetti was perfectly prepared. They were winning dishes. If I had to complain, the house salad only had iceberg lettuce BUT it was very fresh. The sweet tea was house made and sweetened to my exact preference. They also have refillable fountain drinks and unsweetened tea. There are no wait staff, you order at the counter. They do offer take out and delivery. Had a extremely bad experience. Will not be returning. We placed an order. We were told 40 minutes for delivery. 1 hr and 40minutes later we called to see if our order had been lost. Then we were told ours was the next to go out. We asked for a discount due to the experience. First they didn’t want to do that. But later offered 25%. I told that I felt it should be FREE after all we went through. The. I ask for a manager first was told they didn’t have one at the location at the time. Then was immediately offered 40% off. But was charged full price $80.00 plus Still no food. We waited yet again for 20 minutes. We called back was told owner comes in every day. Asked to please have a call back This was in a Saturday. It’s Wednesday and still no return call. Even when I have called back several times I get a different story each time. A very poor way for a business to handle customers. I love the food and have always had pretty good service. Well up until recently... It seems to be the same boy. He is rude and doesnt like when your not quick about ordering. He doesn't seem to like questions either. Just today, I called in and he answered and put me on hold. Okay fine thats cool.. They are busy. He comes back on and ask want I need. I tell him I want to order for delivery. He say hold on I got to take you off hold. He does that then comes back and repeats my address. I tell him its correct then he asks my name and I tell him. He pauses for like 10 seconds then says hello what do you want in a rude manner. This is just one account that he has been rude.
