Boomland Fireworks in Charleston, Missouri, is the place to go if you're serious about putting on your own unforgettable family fireworks show! We make the trip every year (2 ½ hours one way!) and let me just say—it’s always worth it. This year, we set a budget of $1,000 and ended up spending $1,107.41, but we planned it that way to grab a few extras like smoke bombs, sparklers, poppers, and some Roman candles. No regrets at all!

From the moment we walked in, the energy was amazing. The store was super clean and impressively organized, especially for the summer rush. There weren’t many people there when we arrived, just our group and two other families, so it made browsing more relaxing and enjoyable. We had a blast just walking around and looking at all the different options. They had some exciting new fireworks this year that we didn’t see last year, which was awesome since we like to switch it up every time we go.

Let’s talk quality—Boomland doesn’t mess around. The fireworks here are top-tier. From fountains to cakes to those BIG finale-style bursts, everything is designed to put a smile on your face and light up the sky. Sure, some of the larger items are a bit pricey, but honestly, fireworks aren’t meant to be cheap. You’re paying for that WOW factor—and you get it here.

The only tiny thing I noticed (and this wasn’t a big issue at all) was that not every single item had a price tag. Just a few. But we were able to figure it out based on similar items nearby, so it didn’t slow us down or change how we shopped. It might be something to consider if you’re someone who likes to plan every penny, but it didn’t affect our experience in any negative way.

Boomland has become a tradition for us. The fact that we spend about the same every year just shows how much we love it. The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and you can tell they care about keeping things organized and updated for their customers.

So if you’re thinking about grabbing fireworks this year, don’t hesitate. GO NOW, before they sell out! Even if you live far away, it’s 100% worth the trip. Boomland is hands-down the best place to load up for an epic 4th of July or any celebration you’ve...

If you are elderly or disabled, do not bother with boomland Charleston. I stopped there on my way to visit my daughter and I witnessed one of the employees berate an elderly woman who dropped her hand towel on the floor. The women was clearly not able to bend over and pick it up, but instead of just picking it up for her, she yelled at her in front of everyone and said she should not have to clean up after her. I was so disgusted at her deplorable behavior that I complained while I was there, and I also called the store and spoke with a manager about the incident. On my way home, my husband and I stopped there for lunch because I wanted to follow up on my complaint. On my way out, I asked the woman to whom I initially reported the incident what the result of my complaint was. She informed me that nothing happened as a result of my complaint. I was so disheartened. I went to use the restroom before I left, and when I came out, I was confronted by the women who had berated the elderly woman. With a smirk on her face, she asked me if I was looking for her. I replied that I was not because I was hoping that she had been fired, and then I left. This establishment does not demonstrate Christian values, and I will never spend a dime...

Giving this place 3 stars. Stopped here for food & I was very disappointed because I’m a pescatarian & there was NOTHING I can order except onion rings & nacho chips 😩. They only serve fish on Monday’s & Friday’s. Choosing to NOT include a large group of individuals. I truly feel bad for the vegetarian group of people 😢. Also the woman serving the food had a horrible attitude as we were asking questions because I guess we asked too many 🤣😒. The restrooms were pleasantly clean 🧼🥰. That’s a always a WIN 🏆💯. So honestly the 3 stars are for the fabulous clean restrooms from a woman stand point. I can’t share what conditions the men’s bathrooms are in 🤷🏾‍♀️. 2 stars for not having enough options @ the restaurant for everyone’s food selections. Even the salads had meat 😞. ALSO my moms order was a total of $70 for chicken wings, & legs, that weren’t completely done 🤢, & when she approached them about the meat not cooked properly there was a caucasian lady had a rude attitude because we weren’t willing to get food poisoning 😵‍💫. Mac & cheese was way too watery . Shame for shame ⚠️. All around could have went to McDonald’s right across the street and had a better experience with more opportunities & much better price tag 🥴....

cool place. clean bathrooms. lots of variety. its more of a "country style" store (like a large cracker barrel store) rather than exactly like buc-ees.
