Without an inkling of doubt, the current staff and the work they continue to do every day is more than enough to warrant a five-star review. Each one of them is a superstar and continue to impress me every time I ask for help. I have never waited long for something to be fixed, I can comfortably walk up to the staff or message them to ask for help or voice a concern, and most importantly I've felt seen by the most recent staff and cared for by them.
They try relentlessly with what they have and they do a damn good job. The grounds look amazing, it's all very clean and they work hard to keep it clean and hold folks, like ones with dogs for example, accountable. I may have seen a change in property managers, but I haven't seen a change in the upkeep of the property since they hired Brad and Daniel for maintenance and Eva to help remotely manage the place. I'm also proud of Kate and appreciate the work she does trying to get people involved. That's why they deserve five stars. You'll love working with these guys, and honestly they're the reason we wanted to renew our lease.
This property has certainly seen mixed reviews, and I've had my fair share. For awhile there, we saw a lot of turnover, some lack of communication, and at one point I called the owner a few choice names because they were going to increase my rent from what I believed was out of nowhere. In the end, it took significant understanding and patience to realize they (management) weren't "out to get me." The aftermath proved that. They didn't increase my rent, instead they kept my current lease as originally agreed upon. Additionally, Eva worked with us to help us renew our lease at a cost we could still afford. So, we're happy that we're going to be here for a third year.
It's $500 per bedroom, you pay a set fee for water and internet, and because Coles-Moultrie Electric is abysmal you pay an exorbitant amount in electricity a month regardless of how frugal you are (contrary to what many think, that is NOT Campus Pointe's fault). However, given how massive the property is, the fact that it's in the process of being renovated, the repairs they've had to deal with resulting from lousy tenants, and insane property taxes, rent could be a lot more. A LOT more. Yet, it's not because they're reasonable and for that I'm genuinely grateful. PLUS, there's no monthly pet fee! Just a base fee at signing.
Although it's expensive, there's SO MUCH you get in return for that price tag. They have amazing amenities, and I will die on this hill arguing that. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is ideal for the renters with roommates. It's definitely ideal for us when we have family staying over. There's a washer and dryer, ample closet space, I'm convinced it's sound proof, and it has central heating and air. They also have an excellent outdoor space that folks use all the time, ourselves included. There's two, half basketball courts, a sand volleyball pit, hammocks, a tanning bed, the biggest field you'll ever see at a complex in Charleston, a walking track, and the list goes one. We love the work out room and the patio area in particular.
Look, there's a lot that still needs to be done to make this place the best it has ever been, but there's a lot it already has that makes it the best place my husband and I have ever lived at. This is the longest we have ever lived at a place, and I'm proud this is my home. Folks here are actively trying to turn this place around, and that's comforting to see. I'm so proud of the staff for working so hard, and I appreciate everything they do. It's nice to see a continuous return on my investment, and I'm excited for...
Read moreI like campus pointe. These are definitely some of the better apartments in town. BUT I do think they can improve a lot. The units themselves are pretty nice and comfy. Iâve never had a problem with the staff at the office and they were always friendly in my experience. But the internet service here is HORRIBLE. If youâre a student it makes it hard to do homework. If you use Netflix or Hulu, be prepared to see a whole lot of buffering. If you have video games, you want be able to get online frequently. They recently updated the clubhouse building and added stuff like cameras and a dog park, which are nice but not necessary. I think a lot of us just ask for decent WiFi, something that would benefit everybody. And I hear everyone in the apartments have the same problem with their internet that itâs almost unusable sometimes because itâs so slow. Also, if you move in here make sure you bring Ethernet cables and your own WIFI router otherwise you canât use the internet until you have those because the apartments donât have WIFI set up. Also, the smoke detectors go off almost anytime you use the oven, even when thereâs no smoke or anything burning. Lastly, I think thereâs a new owner or company starting this year. Our utility bills have doubled to about $90 a person each month and weâre barely here with lights or TVs on through the day. And a lot of people seem to pay more than that. I love that we each have our own bathrooms and walk in closets and the apartments are nice looking, but definitely be warned about the internet/wifi situation and the bills are super...
Read moreCampus Pointe âLooksâ nice, but behind the scenes the staff is the most unhelpful group of people that I have ever had to work with; they never know anything...so they can NEVER assist you with questions/concerns pertaining to maintenance, online payments, lease agreements and they ALWAYS come across RUDE! As if youâre bothering them when youâre only trying to get clarity in regards to lease agreement & payments. All I wanted to do was to make a simple payment for my daughters rent & the online portal was not working. They could not take payment over the phone (understandable), but itâs been two weeks and this new portal sucks! Besides they have been bought out by a new Management company, BUT they never know how to communicate changes to the tenants. This is annoying & Unprofessional! As of now, I am awaiting for their âcomputer techâ to work out the bugs so that they may send me a link to...
