To Whom It May Concern: Yesterday I went to the Charleston Rural King and purchased 30 bags of mulch. While at the counter my clerk called for help to load. I heard someone respond that they had it. Well.....I waited at least 10 min and no one came. I was getting mad so I started to load it myself. Keep in mind I am 59 years old and in decent shape and it certainly did not hurt me to load it, but I thought that part of your customer service is to help customers load. I could have gone back in to tell her to call again, but I needed to try to stay calm and it was not her fault. Actually I did go back in and dropped the slip off that was to go to the "helper" and told her no one showed up and I loaded myself. If it helps to identify who was working when I was there; my slip is timed at 5:40 PM on July 9 2014., Oh, by the way, I did only get the 30 bags I purchased, but I could have taken much more as no one was even around. I am normally not a complainer and am very independent, but I feel your customer service is really lacking. I do know of others that have mentioned your store as well.    Read moreI have been a Charleston rural king customer for many many years, until I purchased a Stihl chainsaw back in February. Since the day we brought it home we had a hard time starting it and it wouldn't stay idle. Since I got the warranty we took it back for someone to look at,we used it maybe a total of 5 times. We got a call maybe a week or 2 later with the man stating we ran it without the air filter, which we did not. Contacted Stihl and they said we now didn't have the warranty.Fast forward 4 months, the man from rural king calls and informs there's is only so much pressure that it's going to cost a couple hundred to fix and was incredibly rude to me on the phone. Said we could pick it up free of charge. Today we went to pick it up and brought it home, started it and huge clouds of white smoke were coming from it and oil was leaking everywhere. To say I'm upset and dissatisfied is an understatement.Not only did I spend $400 on a chainsaw that I can't use I was talked to so rudely. Now I'm out of a chainsaw and $400.    Read moreUsed to like this store....but lately, they just suck. Consistently show things as available to order online....i order...then get called and they don't have anything...why? They hadn't updated the stock online yet..supposedly did that...so i try again next day....go thru the super slow search and order process....shows in stock....but cant complete order. The online search is utterly ridiculous, try searching black spray paint....get over 400 items that have literally NOTHING whatsoever to do w black spray paint!!!!! How much more detail do i gotta provide to get a relevant result??? In store is just as bad...wanted a FURNACE FILTER, WAS DIRECTED TO THE FILTERS FOR VEHICLES!!! The guy who sent me there straight up said "oh sorry i wasn't paying attention" when i pointed out that automotive oil filters wont do a damn thing for my FURNACE!!!
