The 2018 Coles County Fair will be held July 29 – August 5, 2018.
Sunday Thru Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Free Admission Sunday, July 29th (All Day) Free Admission Adult General Gate Admission (After 4pm – All Week) $3.00 General Auto Parking (Subject to availability) $2.00 Reserve Parking Permits (Parking only) $15.00 Credential Pass and Season Tkt. (Car and Two (2) People) $20.00 Exhibitor’s Pass (All Exhibitors – Car and Driver) $10.00 Children Under 16 years of age are admitted free into the grounds NO REFUNDS

Read moreI used to love coming to the fair with my family as a kid, and again as a teenager with my friends. Now I’m bringing my kids and get to let them experience the rides, games, and great food.
But..
There’s barely any shade or spots to take young children/baby to cool off for a bit.
Less rides/games than previous years. Tickets are overpriced. 20 tickets for $30, that’s actually insane considering each ride costs about 4 tickets.
Food truck options are limited. There’s like 2-3 Pronto Pups, 3 Big Al’s, 2 fair fry joints. why so many of the same truck? Expand the options. Fries, corn dogs, and funnel cake isn’t cuttin’ it anymore.
Other than that, it’s a fair. We went the first day, who knows if more food trucks showed up and some of the rides were set up late? I don’t know. We’re going back for the wristbands on Wednesday, hoping the kids have a good time like I...
Read moreIt's a smaller fair in a smaller community. The walk to get there is much shorter, the lines are faster, and the food comes quicker. The bison burgers, corn dogs, lemon shake ups are as good or better than big fairs. One stand with a very friendly gentleman offered bread pudding, which was Great!
