Made a phone call today to be told that my power would be disconnected and nothing can be done even though I was told to call back... clearly assuming they would help. U gave them more than half my check. Asked thr last time for a automatic withdrawal from my account on the days i get paid till it was paid off...then when person talked to a supervisor they came back with a date it had to be paid by. I said then I wouldn't be able to come up with that much be then. Jump to today, and they claimed they were gonna listen to my call for the proof, but instead, a lady came to the phone telling me there was absolutely nothing that could be done. So when I asked what suggestions does she had for me sine I told them I didn't have the entire payment and I paid way more than I could afford she said to get with an assistance agency. Greatest part was she told me to have a nice day...I said yeah I'm going to have a great day knowing my power will be cut off and instead if being helpful she just noted it on my account bc I heard her clearly typing away on her computer....this company has folks in positions to help people who want to pay their bills but won't bc thru feel empowered by cutting people's power off. Duke says they are serving upstate sc but we dont see any trucks working at night or day much. Had two neighbors tell me 20 to 30 bucket trucks sitting in the Williamston parking lot. Checked it out Friday and drove past 3 times and still sitting hours later. Stopped in to ask a few questions. The contractors are waiting on a ticket for the next job. Waste of money and effort and Duke says they are doing everything they can to restore the power. I have a power line down sitting exposed in my yard. 6 days no response and the transformer produced fireworks Friday night at 908 pm. To my understanding they are short transformers but have plenty for other areas. Look folks the tree has been removed completely. Lost 1400 of frozen goods and groceries. Look at the wire down.
