I used to trust Bradham Brothers to service my heating and air conditioning system. Having purchased new units from them for two prior residences in the prior decade, we are familiar with the company and their staff.
In April 2019, I contacted Bradham Brothers to replace my existing equipment and thermostat that wasn't dependable. They found that the Zone system didn't work because of construction problems with the ductwork. I had few concerns since then.
However I recently noticed that my thermostat seemed to have a mind of it's own so I called. They discovered the problem then serviced the equipment and changed the filters! Great job by a dependable company! I WAS an unofficial cheerleader for Bradham Brothers - this was my 3rd system at my 3rd condo...
Update December 2024 đĄ - Chipmunks apparently invaded my Heat pump leaving a mess and causing my system to send a warning to my Vendor - Bradham responded immediately. After cleaning up the mess and creating a barrier to keep out the Chipmunks, I thought I was back in service - - NOT! đŤ
After Christmas I received another call that my system had sent another signal - so that began a series of visits trying to determine what's wrong.
I was unaware that my system was running on Emergency Heat since mid-December until it was reset in February. As a result my power bill tripled for the two months - but Bradham kindly reimbursed me when informed. I now know how to check it.
My late husband went to high school with Rodney Bradham which is why we called him the first time we needed service on our system. He explained the process to determine what we needed without trying to oversell us as the competitors were attempting to do. As a result, we both replaced the units in each of our condos in Charlotte and I called them when I moved to South Carolina and my 7-year old system needed attention. Because we provided referrals and spoke highly about how you could trust Bradham Brothers which is now Bradham Comfort Services, they eere my first choice to call.
My new system was purchased in 2019 with a Parts Only Warranty, I'm responsible for Labor. I was surprised at how quiet the Heat Pump ran - quiet as a whisper! Not any more!
This is the first problem I've had with my system. However - according to the Trane website, a Compressor "should last 15-20 years" - SHOULD! I noticed how loud the Heat Pump was running - which is still the case. It's a constant reminder of this fiasco.
A variety of Technicians were dispatched to try to resolve the problem, it was obvious that the level of competency varied. So much so, I requested Senior Techs... Then my Compressor was replaced but damaged by the Manager who installed it as he used the wrong tools (an impact hammer) and damaged the feet (I have the photos)!
Enough of that fiasco...
My Warranty is with Bradham - they are sending Senior Technicians for any future signals from my system.
Update June 2025 - after 3 months, the new compressor has failed. Obviously this is a TRANE issue, not Bradham Comfort Services. My system apparently quit working sometime on Wednesday but I didn't discover it until the indoor temperature reached 88° on Saturday morning! Bradham immediately reached out but unfortunately the only possible response was a failure. Trane discovered the December issue but apparently has stopped monitoring my system - why?
Bradham Comfort Services is jumping through hoops to get this addressed today. I apologize for any previous detrimental comments - they have been on top of this and I have confidence that I will "have cool air tonight" (to borrow a phrase)!!! Thank you Bradham...
   Read morePlease, do NOT use this company. Short version: AC went out, $400 on first service and tech noted there were no real problems. Three days later, AC goes out again. $500 on second service with $4k quote to fix and new tech contradicts everything first tech said. We asked for quote on new system (should have been an email) and they send out a sales rep. After 5 minutes of questions and being upfront we werenât buying a unit that day, sales rep leaves with words and door slamming.
Long version: Our AC was not working and a technician was sent who concluded refrigerant was needed but after inspection of the system there were no serious issues. Yet suddenly three days later, our AC goes out again and a new technician was sent. Somehow in three days of the first tech being here, our AC unit ran out of the three pounds of refrigerant that was added and the new technician notes we have a âserious problem with the unitâ and were going to have to refill the refrigerant (an ADDITIONAL charge) and do a leak check ($228), and estimated $4,000 to fix the problem. We asked for a quote on a new unit as well but what we didnât realize was a sales rep was scheduled to be sent out the following day to sell us a new system ($10,000 estimate). We saw the appointment text confirmation but assumed it was a service appointment for the âleak checkââso didnât think too much about it. We were frustrated at this point but when the sales rep arrived, our frustration turned to pure anger with this company and we will never use them again or recommend them. I received a text the rep was about 15 minutes out and called the office to confirm what this appointment was about. The office explained it was a sales rep to quote a new unit and that he was pulling up to the house now. I went out to apologize and explain the mix up and that we were going to have the unit fixed. The rep immediately responds with âand you didnât think to call the office first?â I brushed that off and asked a few questions about price, if it made sense to fix or get a new unit, warranties, etc. as I was genuinely interested in a new unit instead of spending another $4k and the rep cut me off mid question (about 5 minutes in) and in a rude and reprimanding tone said âare you going to buy a new unit today or not? It took me an hour to get out here and all of your questions could have been answered by the office and especially on a Saturday morning so if you are not buying Iâm leaving.â He then slams the door on the way out and speeds off in his car.
We called the office immediately after but it was a third party answering service and said they had no affiliation and couldnât could help us out. We will continue following up for some type of remedy as we have now spent $1,000 and a week later we still do not have a working AC unit and have had to deal with a sales rep who threw a tantrum...

As we talked through the problem, they arranged to have a technician to my home the very next morning I was really surprised because this time of the year I thought they would be three or four days behind as most companies are. First thing to next morning, I got a text with a picture and a description of his background from the technician Saying he would be arriving at my location in about 30 minutes, just as promised. Again, when a young man arrived, I was impressed with the professionalism he presented. And the cleanliness of his truck and tools. He went to work quickly diagnosed my Problem and presenting me with options. I chose an option for replacement of my And he arranged for a salesman to be at my home by lunchtime that same day. Once again I received a text with a picture of the salesman and his professional background 30 minutes before he arrived at my location the salesman presenting himself very professionally Knowledgeable. He laid out my option For both equipment, packages and pricing., I chose. One that suited my needs and he said let me get to work. I may be able to have them out here tomorrow morning. Sure enough, he made some phone calls to make sure all the equipment he needed was in stock and that he had professional installers available, he said Iâll have them out here first thing tomorrow morning. The next morning, bright, and early guess what I received a text With a picture And the background of two professional installers that will be at my location in 30 minutes, just as promised. They went to work, making sure that all the floors were covered so they did not make a mess And finish the job again, very professionally that day After they finish, they took me around, showed me all of the work. They accomplished explained to me everything that they had done. And made sure I was comfortable with a new system. I had good air-conditioning that night. I know that this review has been long and detailed, but in this world today That I find professionalism and excellent customer service from a company.
