I attempted to anonymously report a nursing student for making racist remarks about a black person through private messages. I have the proof and intended to provide it. The program director only responded after I followed up a week later, and when I explained I needed to remain anonymous for safety reasons, my concerns were dismissed. I was told the matter ‘appeared to involve private communications’ and was outside their jurisdiction; despite another staff member previously stating that nursing students are expected to uphold professionalism ‘in school, clinical, and in everyday life.’ After sending multiple emails with more information, the school stopped responding entirely and never requested the evidence or showed any concern. I only received the singular email from the director dismissing the incident. While the incident may have occurred outside of class, this behavior is unacceptable for anyone entering the nursing profession, and the lack of concern is deeply worrisome. If this is considered acceptable conduct for future nurses, the public should be worried. A nurse who throws around the N-word and verbally attacks people for standing up to racism is a liability, and the fact that this program can look the other way because it happened outside of school is not just negligence,...

This trade school is the single best thing to happen to me in my high school career. It is filled with caring faculty and administration. From what I have seen all of the instructors seem to know what they are doing,and do their best to prepare their students for careers in the real world. Adult students are increasing in number as they can get great education for the price they pay for a full year. As far as my instructor goes, he tries everything he to teach all of my classmates and myself what we need to know to get a job. He even contacts shops from around the area when one of the students want a job. He stayed late the whole last year to further help all the adult students in my class. This school is the best technical and trades school that I've ever been to. The entire staff and faculty goes above and beyond to ensure safety and to make sure you or your child gets the proper training they need. Also the instructors at the school are very polite and respectful, and make sure they work at your pace and learn the way you learn best!
