Keweenaw Kountry Store — Local services in Chassell Township

I really like this place a lot. You can get bulk foods here, local products, and really cheap food that is passed it's "expiration date". If you're smart, you know those dates are pulled out of thin air by the manufacturer so that you'll throw away perfectly good food and buy some more. Up on the second floor, it's like a rummage sale where you can find a lot of second hand items. Honestly, there is a fair amount of chintz, but there is also some well made stuff. Also, it's stuff that they don't make anymore and you can't buy new. So, it could make a unique (or ironic) gift. On top of that, they have a koi pond! What kind of monster doesn't...

It has always been 5 stars for us until yesterday. As usual, no masks for employees, but we let that slide because of the size of the store. This time, 4 additional customers from their church unmasked and a guy unmasked with a pistol in his hip. Unacceptable! We have shopped from day one and supported the store by passing the word....
