-The Good: The techs were very courteous. -Needs Improvement: The Auto Care Supervisor was unwilling to admit he was misinformed or wrong. Wouldnât even ask his supervisor for help.- I brought in my own oil and filter, The Manager was unwilling to do the oil change due to the difference in viscosity (0w-20 in his book, I provided 0w-40). My vehicle has 285k. I called my home Walmart store and asked the manager if we have been doing something wrong. He explained because I provided the oil and they make note on the receipt it is within their policy. I explained this to the Chelan Auto Center Manager and he was still unable to overcome his ego and talk with a manager or request assistance. He also was would not provide me with the written policy he was referring to. He also explained the vehicle needed the oil his book said and that was all he could use. The point of the âcustomer providedâ oil change at Walmart is just that: the labor of replacing my oil with what I provide, period. If I wanted more I would go...
Read moreOil change scheduled for Friday. Short staffed when I arrived on time and said it would be more than an hour+ and that they would be slammed on Saturday. Scheduled for 8:30 Sunday but the tech put it down as 7:30 so was canceled when I arrived at 7:45. Not busy so they got it in. Checked oil level after oil change and it was low. They argued that the engine (1GR-FE Tacoma) takes only 4.8 quarts. Not true. Has always been 5.5 quarts with filter. The vehicle has 250,000 miles with oil change every 5,000 so this makes the 50th (!) oil change I've done or had done. Nevertheless, they argued that oil level was "within range" and that to have totally let engine oil drain would take too long and mess up their inventory if they had to top off for every customer. So leaving dirty oil in the engine? I said too low, add more. They did so after arguing and put in extra half quart. God forbid they annoy corporate by doing it right. Not my problem. I'll spare them any future trouble and never go...
Read moreWent for an oil change and new wiper blades. After 3 hours i went back to check if my car was done. They said they didn't have the right oil filter so they didn't do anything to my car. I drove home and to work the next day. I decided to check the oil and found they had completely drained the oil and left it empty. This could have blown my engine. Walmart is NOT worth going to for even a simple oil change. ...
