UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Harrah's Cherokee Valley River — Local services in Cherokee County Community

Went to ultrastar in Murphy today while visiting my brother and bowled and played arcade games with my family. We kept having issues on our lane where it would not count pins and we had to edit our scores multiple times to fix the issue. Then we played in the arcade since Wednesday’s is half off the cost of games. It seemed Half of the games were broken and out of service (and they only had about 20 machines to start off with). I had gotten a $5 and $10 card with our funcard points and then combined them onto my card I already had (which had 7,000 tickets on them) and my $10 card still had $7.80 left on it. when I got my card back they said I had 700 tickets and $5.00 left. I said no, I had 7,000 tickets on the card I had them put everything on and I should have $7.80 because I checked all my cards before combing them. I had to persist for them to even start to go through the stack of cards (some from my brother combining his as well). The manager found one that Hadn’t combined putting me at $10.80 and 700 tickets then gave me my card back again and didn’t keep checking the rest of the cards. The $5.80 came from my brothers card not mine. I was never rude (I’m always pretty soft spoken and don’t get angry enough to fuss unless someone’s rude to me first), but I said I should’ve had 7,000 tickets but he seemed uninterested in anything else I had to say so I just gave up and left. Maybe if I’d am cuss and raised Cain I would’ve gotten somewhere as everywhere I’ve worked in the public people seem to get more when they’re rude. I’ll stick to the Cherokee ultrastar from now on. I just want to thank the staff at UltraStar Bowling Alley in the Casino in Murphy for making my son’s 4th birthday so special!! Hannah and her staff were nothing short of AMAZING!!! I do not mean that lightly and I’m usually not one to leave reviews but we were treated so so good I have been telling everyone how amazing they were! Everything was perfect and they were SO attentive. We felt wanted and genuinely cared for there! Not only did their staff treat us well but so did the lading Cafe! They brought over a slice of delicious cake with a lot candle for our little guy. It was incredibly thoughtful. Overall just an amazing experience and a great evening there all around! I'm pretty disappointed that there's no flexibility in the $30 per hour bowling lane rate on a Sunday afternoon. I am a dad with a 4-year-old daughter who wants to bowl and I just can't do $30 for half a game of bowling. Management doesn't seem to be empowered to differ from anything on their POS system. I hope they will find some flexibility to offer family entertainment for local folks as well as out of towners spending big cash. $30 is no big deal for two families getting together on a lane, but currently there's only one lane out of all of them occupied and I don't have another family in mind to hang out...
