Food Lion — Local services in Chesapeake

I’ve lived across the street from this grocery store for about a year and a half now. At first it was a great neighborhood grocery store with great employees but all of that has went down tremendously. I think the employees play a big part in the overall experience and they are not at all pleasant as the ones before. Management may have changed because the quality of employees are horrible and there are constant new faces. Also this grocery store always has problems with their card payments but instead of making an announcement so the entire store can be aware they let you make a full shopping basket just to tell you once you get to the register. It was a convenient place to shop but I will now be finding a different food lion.

I LOVE THE MANAGER JESSICA some people in the neighborhood is trying to get her fired because she is on top of EVERYTHING they can’t steal no more use other people’s food stamp cards checks or debit cards no more I called corporate and told them what was going on no one called me back I guess they like the negative lies about her but she is funny down to earth and is the same everyday!!! FOOD LION YOU NEED TO KEEP HER BECAUSE SHE IS A GOOD PERSON!!! I see her take care of the older people she stay in the front of the store and be on the register and she is FAST!! I work with the Destiny Empowerment Center at my church, Living Destiny. I came to this Food Lion to ask for donations for a Thanksgiving dinner we're putting on for the community. I happened to catch the General Manager, Nadia riiiiiiiight at the end of her day. I mean clocked out, on the way out the door. She not only took the time to talk with me and set a time to come back the next day, but went ABOVE AND BEYOND with their donation of food for the community. Its obvious that God is working in this store, and doing good things, because the care they showed in this one act surpassed my expectations.
