I don't often leave reviews however, this was the best experience I have had at any restaurant in a long time and I thought that I would share it. My fiancé, daughter, and I tried this spot for the first time last night. We were getting groceries at Food Lion and noticed the new food spot and wanted to check it out. We realized that the restaurant closed in 10 minutes however, we went in anyways just to look because of how cute the restaurant looked when looking through the window since I felt bad about possibly putting an order in so close to closing time. Working in the food industry previously, I know that no one is super happy about a customer walking in so close to closing when you are trying to close out the register and kitchen to prepare to leave on time. However, the owner Joe appeared pleased that we were coming in. I could tell right off the bat that Joe was a genuine person and that's so hard to come across now a days. He was very engaging and patient and spent his time telling us about the menu. He offered us a jaw dropping deal from someone that made a pickup order about an hour earlier and never picked it up. He even went as far as to reheat the food in the oven and timed it just right so that when our pizza (that was freshly made to order) was done, the other food will be done. Even after the great bundle deal Joe (the owner) offered, he even told us to keep 5 more dollars to "put towards your daughter's tuition fund". So, we gave him that $5 as a tip to help support his small business. We had chicken wings, pineapple pizza, chicken tenders, and fries and the food was absolutely delicious! That experience truly made my day and I have been bragging about the restaurant all day today to coworkers and family. We live right across the street and this will for sure be...
Read moreI ordered from this business for my daughter’s first birthday party and my guests ended up sick. I called and asked them did they want me to bring the pizza back and they wanted me to wait for the cook to come in the next day. Called the next day and the owner answered. I explained to him I still have the two boxes of pizza I kept to show him that it must’ve been precooked and only 3 slices were gone, I would be happy to bring it up there… he gets irritated and cuts me off. He says they called back which isn’t true & I should’ve returned it in a couple of hours and hung up on me. How could I return it when an employee told me to wait until the next day?? lol
I’m a business owner myself of 10 years and I never handle my customers this way. I would have offered an incentive such as a refund, gift card, or fresh pizza to make sure that my customer is satisfied.
I wish this business much success but if the owner isn’t able to control himself I would suggest hiring a manager who is more pleasant to be the voice of the business. $55 dollars and a customer who would have spread the word about your business...
Read moreStreet Side, the name says it all. Firstly, the food is in a league of its own in comparison to other fast food Italian. From the pizza which is drowning in cheese or the hoagies that are filled with fresh cuts of meat. As well as fresh crunchy lettuce and red juicy tomato's . I've also had their wings. Crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. The atmosphere is clean and laid back. The owner, as well as the employees ,are very personable and will not hesitate to insure your satisfaction. Let me tell you a quick story. A coworker and I went there for lunch ,and while there, an elderly gentleman wasn't feeling too well. So the owner brought him a fan some cold water and offered to personally drive him home. The gentleman declined . He had already called his wife, but the owner kept him company until she arrived. Not only great customer service but an an act of simple human kindness. It was wonderful to witness. So, if you're in the area of Great Bridge Blvd and Dominion Blvd during lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Street Side Pizza and Hoagies. You will not regret it. I'm...
