Lots of beautiful and interesting vintage and antique pieces for great prices. The store itself was a bit tight in spots for my wheelchair and I had to be extremely careful not to bump into things. I have a relatively small manual wheelchair. Someone with a wider wheelchair would have more trouble. The front door is also difficult to get in and out of without a boost from a friend. It's got a relatively large lip on both sides. My partner had to help me lean back to get over it. Also the parking lot is mostly gravel which is pretty well compacted, so I was able to maneuver on it. I was just slow moving. Both the external secondary parts of the store were extremely difficult to enter with my chair. The barn has a larger lip on the exterior door that the ground slopes down towards and the garden center has a muddy bit in front I got stuck in and the whole store is one big straight line that's extremely tight. I had a hard time turning around to get back out and then the one big step in the middle of the store has a ramp, but it also has a large metal pig directly next to the ramp, so my chair didn't fit down the ramp and I needed assistance up and down the ramp. It's a beautiful store, but definitely not one that can be visited by yourself if you're a...
Read moreLove the place however we were shopping, checked out with clerk hearing us that we were going to their second building and said nothing. As we opened the door of the second building we were blindsided by an employee who aggressively approached us saying they closed at 4 oâclock. Looked at my watchâŚ.it was 4:02p!! Ok. But we were not aware that it closed at 4. Why make us feel attacked? Instead saying you can look around quickly or sorry we should have locked the door instead of telling us we can come back tomorrow. Really? We donât live that close. Wish the clerk who checked us out and heard our conversation would have saved us from that whole scene by telling us they had closed. We surely wouldnât have stepped into the building. We had no way to know it was closed and we were unaware of the time or when it closed. . Make an announcement so shoppers are aware of closing. Donât assume everyone is aware itâs closing time. It wasnât about the time of closing it was how it was handled...
Read moreI drove by this shop many times but never stopped in to check it out until the bridge on Centerville opened and traffic backed up. Itâs like a full time yard sale full of items that arenât made anymore. My 10 year old son is an old soul who was like a kid in a candy shop here. If youâre in the area or just feel like taking a drive through whatever country side views we still have left in Chesapeake, I highly recommend stopping in this cute little roadside shop to check it out. You might just find a hidden sentimental item you didnât know you were looking for. BTW., this is not a commercial store and all items are formally owned and for sale by multiple vendors. I would rather buy something here that has history and holds up than give my money to Target. Shop local like this place and keep our small American...
