We have always loved Watson’s furniture store in Chesnee SC .My mom furnshed her whole house with Mrs.Watson’s help she not only helped my mom pick her pieces out but actually came out and helped her place them in her home.I myself purchased all my furniture at Watson’s and recently bought my son’s appliance there for his first home. And I also referred a friend there and she worked with the interior design team for her home and we all have been very pleased with our experience and the longevity of our furniture some of the peices we have are close to 18 years old.Anyway all that sad I had a different experience this last visit just a couple of mths ago I was interested in a black 18 inch whirlpool dishwasher $250 dollars when I went to get purchase it it had been sold and I understood that first come first serve when it comes to the scratch and dent applianceAnyway I called back and talked to I’m thinking the son the one with brown hair can’t ever remember his name but anyway I had called to see if anymore had came in and he said they had a stainless still 18inch Whirlpool and he said it was also $250 dollars so I said great and ask if he could hold it for me because I was on my 12hr rotation in Marion NC and couldn’t get there before they closed and he said he would put sold on it not to worry because it was rare for someone to want an 18inch dishwasher so anyway I went to purchase the dishwasher and when I drove an hr to get it Mr.Watso said it was $349 and I was in shock!Like what I was told $250 and he said No he hadn’t told me that but he did tell my husband that when he had called about the black whirlpool and also was on the phone with me when I went in to look at the second stainless still one when I had came to visit my son I dropped by to look at it to confirm that it was what we had been looking for and wanted.I was in my car and couldn’t get it that day but did say I wanted it and that’s why I called back when I was at work to confirm they still had it and that it was $250 as well.Thats why I’m so baffled and in shock because this we have been looking for mths and calling Watson’s because of the qoute and security we had built up with them. All this said I still love there store and the price they have on the scratch indent appliance. The only complaint I have is this one I just felt truly hurt and disappointed and never in a million years would I have thought I would have got treated like that I’m just still in shock. My advise make sure you write down who you speak with wether on the phone or in person and if you don’t make a purchase that day make sure you write the qoute down with a date.I know a $100 dollar difference isn’t that big of a deal but it is when you put time and effort in calling the store and staying in touch with them for mths until the merchandise your looking for comes in and the you drive an our away to get it to be told a different amount for the appliance. And I guess it wouldn’t have been so bad if Mr.Watson hadn’t said we just bought a truck load at a discount and then when I ask him why the $100 dollar difference he said because Lowes sales them for $899 new and that they had that much in it as well.Well did you just say you bought a whole truck load at a disscount so know you don’t have $899 in it because you would go out of bussnise paying top dollar for Furnture and appliance and turning around and selling it for more than half off.Anyway just hurt feeling here and left with a bad taste in my mouth.I always believe in support off mom and pops (small) businesses but if they get like the big box stores by not keeping there word no matter if it’s a $1 or a million dollars it’s your word it’s your repore with your customers and if you don’t have that you don’t have anything and that’s why ppl end up at big box stores if your going to get done wrong what’s the deference?!!Anyway rant over!!Just make sure you get everything wrote down and I’m sure you will be happy with whatever you...
Read moreFirst - I made two trips to the Chesnee store and spoke with a lady named Gay both times regarding various pieces of furniture. She was super nice and very helpful throughout both visits with a high level of patience. I really appreciated her help.
Second - I had Jerrit and Brandon come out to deliver a couple of things to the house and they did an excellent job. They were careful about bringing the furniture inside in a safe and controlled manner, and even stopped briefly to discuss options regarding upkeep of the furniture. They both had a great attitude and were very helpful with any questions I had. I would recommend using them for delivery of furniture anytime and will most likely be using Watson's again in the future for my furniture needs.
Overall I had a great experience with Watson's Furniture Company and will most likely be using them in the future for my furniture and/or...
Read morePosting for my mom who doesn’t have a google acct: I bought a supposedly new whirlpool refrigerator in July of 2017. Immediately the ice maker did not work. I called and they gave me the number of their repair person for me to call and have them come out to repair. Six months later and several phone calls the ice maker was fixed. Then another month or two passed and the dispenser stopped working. I called again and was told to call their repairman. It is now almost 2019 and I still have a refrigerator not working properly. I did call Whirlpool to complain only to find out this refrigerator was sold in May of 2016 and warranty was registered and a repair was made on this refrigerator in December of 2016, keep in mind I bought it “new” with full warranty in July 2017. Needless to say I’m not thrilled with Watson’s...
