I have driven by this course a couple of dozen times over the years. I have always wanted to play it. I finally made time to play 9 holes on my way back to California. I was able to tee off just after 11 one recent morning. It looked like there may have been one other group on the course when I teed off. It was about 94 and humid, but typical July Texas weather.
I played the front 9 and the course was in great shape. Great fairways when I hit them and even better greens. They were slower, but beautiful greens. I played from the blue tees and it seemed every tee shot was into the wind.

This 18-hole course is a hidden gem because of the quality of both the layout and the facilities. It consists of a series of interesting holes, with a degree of trouble, but not so much that you feel like you've taken a beating. My friends and I have been playing here for several years, and have enjoyed the predictable quality. There is even a short-order grill with good food.
