DONT STAY HERE! This is seriously the worse place I have ever stayed. First we paid extra to stay here to 1. have the hot tub before bed, which wasnt hot, 2. The nice prictures and reviews, which were all lies, 3. The free breakfast for our family, was literally a joke and NOT AT ALL as advertised. We would have left last night but my husband had drove almost 18 hours yesterday and couldn't go any further. I forgot to take pics of the trash and the other things I seen in the shower, walls and room but it had trash, dirt, mold, and rust in them and the bathrooms and rooms were not cleaned properly. It stunk, the beds had stains in them, there was rust and mold, the bed were broken down and super uncomfortable and to top it off we found a pair of dirty underwear we found later in the floor. I should have pushed to leave but my husband looked miserable. DONT STAY HERE ........
Wow!! I read more reviews and the same complaint was made 3 months ago, same problems, same stain, and was told it would be taken care of and wasn't. So I stayed in room that wasn't cleaned in who know how long!!! Very furious!!
Also you told the customer 3 months ago that you would get housekeeping on that immediately and obviously it wasn't done because it's the exact same you can tell by the pictures. Also if you are minimizing breakfast then your price should also reflect that. Nothing is as pictured at all in the filth in the room has no explanation it should have been taken care of. I'm also touching below pictures that you show of your breakfast currently online which are very misleading as well as the screenshots from the rating from 3 months ago and your response clearly showing that it was not...
Read moreSo I have stayed in motel 8s in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and now Childress, Texas. The rooms are neat and clean, but you guys are setting yourself up for a major lawsuit. No rail or bathmat in the shower anyone that is disabled or a senior citizen( you guys are lucky so far. ) And I can speak from hotel experience ,because I worked at and ran one hotel The Historic St James in Cimarron New Mexico, from 1996 to 97 . And The Fairplay hotel from 2008 to 2009. Even the historic hotels we had to install bath mats and handrails. ! The young lady was very friendly, but she didn’t ask me if I was a veteran or if I had an AARP card and I have both. Now the price. I realized the prices are going up after the pandemic to recoup your losses, but $115 plus tax which came out to $127? Really ? No really. 🙄 water pressure was great. Plenty of hot water room was very neat and clean and again the attendant was very sweet and I’m sure she was tired . Rolled in about 9:30 PM. So I’m sure she had a long shift. So motel eight Wyndham hotels I would jump on that bath mats and handrails in your bathrooms because someone who has a really sharp attorney is going to sue the hell out of you if they injure themselves in a...
Read moreAfter a long days drive I was trying to find a hotel for a reasonable price just for the night. This one has been AAA approved for years and had decent reviews. I recently stayed in a Super 8 in Waco, TX and didn't enjoy but I was tired and had a 2 yr old on a 10 hr trip.
It was between the Motel 6 and here. I picked here because they offered breakfast and for a lower price. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It had obviously been recently updated. The bathtub/shower looked like the "bath fitter" people had redone it as it was new with new fixtures. I appreciated the room safe. The guest book was a nice surprise and helpful for not only the t.v. but local things as well. That's where I picked the restaurant from, lol. It was so nice having the extra outlets for charging the electronics 🙂
The only thing that could've made our stay more pleasant was if hotel was not next to the highway. But that wasn't there fault as they're all next to the highway in Childress! It was a noisy night sleep with the traffic. But if you're a hard sleeper you probably won't notice 😉
The breakfast was good with TX shaped waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee,...
