I wish I had a lot of pictures to show you, but I don’t. By the way, iPhones are water resistant not waterproof. Just go ahead and expect your kayak to flip over. I definitely would recommend doing this trip. We had an awesome time. we called the week prior to make reservations for our group of 15 when we got there, they loaded us up and took us immediately too. The boat ramp and unloaded us. All we had to do is get in the kayak or do whatever you had. We had two friends that brought their own kayaks and they were able to have them join our group and ride with us as well. We paid $25 for that, but it was easier for us to be able to all stay together as a group and not have to get transportation for them, or meet them in a different place. The workers were very nice, very considerate and were there when we were finished loaded us up immediately and took us back to the canoe adventure shop where we were able to clean up a little bit. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a really good time on the water just know the water is super cold but a very cool place to see. You will see all kinds when you get to the springs, very entertaining. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the springs initially and then on the way back it took us about 30 minutes to leave the springs and get to our final destination. My son jumped off the rope, but we were all too chicken to try. We had such a good time and created a lot of great memories. I wish I could’ve drive my phone out, because I just know I would have had some awesome pics and an even better video (underwater). lol You can pack a lunch, bring your own beverages (make sure you bring a trash bag) and make a day of it. My number one advice would be to definitely wear Water shoes. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I wouldn’t have had...
Read moreWe went in late July 2024 on a weekday morning. We didn't book ahead as we just found the place online the evening before. We tried the place just north up the road, but they didn't have anything available so they directed us to try here. Luckily, they had kayaks available.
Everyone was super nice and helpful. After they loaded the kayaks and our equipment we were off! The young lady who acted as our guide up to the set in point gave us great information about the spring and the surrounding area. She was fantastic, as were the rest of the staff.
The paddle to the spring was short. The last little bit was upstream, but not bad. The spring itself was crystal clear and absolutely stunning! The 69 degree water took a minute to get accustomed to, but once we did it was nice. Take your snorkel gear and swim out over the top, or down into the cave at the bottom if you dare! It's difficult because the pressure from the spring shoots you back out. There is also a deck and a rope swing if you are feeling adventurous.
We played and ate our picnic lunch before heading back. The paddle out is a little bit longer. It is a pretty, peaceful paddle. Overall, we stayed about 5 hours and had a wonderful trip. It was actually one of everyone's top 2 adventures for our week long...
Read moreWe had a great time kayaking in Cypress Springs. When we got to the exit I called several times to be picked up. There was no answer and no return calls. I had a group of 10 for a bachelor party and we waited at the exit and still no answer. We parked the kayak’s on the bank and walked back to the business. This was about a 10-15 minute walk back. As we walked up the owner was stringing weeded eater string and asked if we called and I replied yes, several times. She made the excuse that their phone line is very busy. We also noticed that there were not any vans and trailers ready to pick us up. I asked her if this is the way do business and she replied and said sorry our phone line was busy. I will never do business with this outfit ever again!!! This was pretty embarrassing because I hosted this outing for the bachelor party. I would use another company!!!! I would leave no stars...
