My experience has been a good example of BAD BUSINESS!!! My brand new mattress, that I'm still paying for, has a visible dip in it and my back hurts every single morning of every day. At the time of signing paperwork they tell you that all they ask is that you sleep on the mattress for 30 days before you decide that you like it or not but BEWARE! After the 30 days, when you tell them that you received a bad mattress they tell you that you must pay a restocking fee (a couple hundred dollars) and $80 delivery fee. So deliver a used or bad mattress and the trap is set to make even more money in around 30 days. I received a bad mattress, and we were both sitting there and not one word was said about the 20% trapping fee. Company policy doesn't make it right or good business, further company policy doesn't mean we were told about the policy. I called and spoke to Jonathan who was polite and the process is beginning for the manufacturer to do an inspection. This has been just an awful experience that still isn't over. Out of this I have learned some very valuable lessons!
7/15/18 UPDATE! Finally had the inspection of the mattress on June 5 last month. We were not told of the findings of the inspection because we already know what they found, and no word from schewels either and this has been a month and a half. Read moreOutstanding customer service and an overall great shopping experience. We purchased a mattress from Chiyomi in the Christiansburg store. She answered our questions and let us determine what we liked without trying high pressure sales tactics like some other places. The mattress we selected was not in stock, but available at a nearby store and we were promised next day delivery. Jonathan, the store manager, and another coworker (apologies for not knowing his name) drove to the other store the next day to pick it up and make a delivery to us. A mix up occurred and they had to drive to a second store to get the mattress, but they were still able to deliver it the next day as promised. The two of them were on the road nearly all day long. Unbelievable commitment to their word and exceptional service. Unfortunately, we did have an issue requiring follow-up action, but it was no fault of the store. Our concern was handled quickly and to our satisfaction. Bobby and Tony came by our house to assist with our issue and they addressed it very professionally and courteously. Read moreWent in to Shewels to buy couches, found a set I liked and then was talked into a warranty, which make since it has motorized parts. Had enough to pay off the couches and warranty. The guy who was helping us brought up “what about a coffe table set” so we looked at the options but wasn’t really finding anything we liked. Eventually we were shown one that would match and talked into getting it along with couches, they said we could finance it and I told them that worried me because this is happening during covid and I wasn’t sure I would able to do the payments. So I asked to put them on a separate ticket from the couches and was told it would be a better idea to put it on the same ticket so the warranty would cover the table set to, I kept insisting I wanted it separately and in the end was promised that if it came down to having to take them back that the tables would be taken back and not my couches.... so I agreed and now am screwed because apparently I own the tables since they are lesser value and they want 1 of the couches. I paid $2,500 that day.. only owed a little over $500 left...they have lost my business forever.. and all my families buisness, nothing but a bunch...
