Dollar General — Local services in Christopher

06/12/2024 STORE CLOSED EARLY AGAIN AS I FOUND MYSELF RUSHING TO THE STORE AT 9:39 p.m.JUST TO FIND THE STORE LOCKED AND CLOSED AGAIN. I UNDERSTAND IF THE STORE CLOSES DUE TO NO STAFF BUT THERE WERE 2! CARS IN THE LOT PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE PARKING LOT THAT ASSUMED WERE EMPLOYEES.I WONDER HOW OFTEN THIS HAPPENS AT THE STORE IN CHRISTOPHER ILLINOIS

I find myself like others rushing out to the store at or near closing time . I know I employee are ready to go Home at closing time . However I find myself a little bit frustrated today March 27th 2024 at exactly 9:57 pm . This is the 2nd time the stores been closed before closing time and in Christopher Illinois this store is the only option other than Huck’s Casey and a small family owned grocery store that closes early due to the cost of running a business such as this, so stay open. We dedicate our money to the Dollar General Store so can we at least stay open until it’s closing time. It’s not like Dollar General can’t afford it they are popping up in multiple locations in small towns all across this area on both ends of town. Also Dollar General should copy Casey’s General store with rewarding dedicated customers with DG DOLLARS . Just like Carey’s give back in store “DG DOLLARS” rewards so that even when one finds themselves with no money they can look to where they spend money daily to see if they have spent enough Have any rewards saved up. I’m just saying I know I’m happier to spend money with a business that show thanks by giving back to me rewards to be used in store If not then at least don’t allow the doors to close early. BE THE CHANGE AND REDUCE THE CIST OF EVERYTHING SOLD IN DOLLAR GENERAL BY $1.00 or sumthin because there are not enough items in the store for sale to be called Dollar General...

I haven't been in this particular store for awhile. They carded me one day wouldn't let me tobacco because my drivers driver's license was expired. I'm almost 50 years old. The checkout is all wrong. One of the Better, cleaner Dollar General stores but for after Christmas Sale the register accepted 25% to 50% off some items and other items it didn't. They had big stack behind counter of things shoppers didn't want at regular price. Surely somebody could have fixed this as other items did take...
