Serious Concerns About the NYS Board of Law Examiners’ Customer Service‼️
I’m beyond frustrated with the way the New York State Board of Law Examiners (BOLE) operates. Their office, located in Albany, at Corporate Plaza, Building 3 Washington Avenue, has some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. • They fail to provide clear and accurate information regarding critical matters. • Their responses are vague, unhelpful, or completely absent when future attorneys seek guidance. • Due to their lack of proper communication, I missed my opportunity to take the July bar exam—a delay that has now pushed me to February 2026.
This is unacceptable. We, as future lawyers, are dedicating our time, effort, and money to obtaining our licenses and serving communities with integrity. Yet, the very board responsible for overseeing this process fails to uphold basic standards of professionalism and accountability.
So I ask: Who is responsible for ensuring that the BOLE provides clear and accurate information to bar applicants in a timely manner? Who is addressing these ongoing failures in communication?
