Terrible experience. I went in to get my phone fixed and they were having trouble fixing it. The sales person told me I was eligible for an upgrade for free. When it came time to sign the paperwork, she told me the phone would cost $30 a month for 30 months. I had already given her $50 for tax, that's $950!!!! For a "free" phone. I was told I could return the phone within 15 days. I went back to return it and they had already shipped my old phone out, and the only way I could return it was to purchase another phone. Why would I purchase another phone from them when they already ripped me off. There was a promotion running where I should have gotten a $100 gift card and credit on my old phone. When I asked about the credit for my old phone they said the credit was used to "pay off my contract". I did not ask for a new contract, I only wanted a new phone. She did not explain that she was renewing my contract. I did not receive the gift card either. This "US Cellular Authorized Agent" at best is extremely deceptive, and quite frankly lie to get you to do what is best for them. Their authorization should be revoked by US Cellular. I will also be contacting. US Cellular directly about their business practices. If I could give them a no star rating I would. It is my recommendation to not do business...
   Read moreWent in for a prepaid plan for a friend and person was only agent there and we wanted 30.00 plan and she said that was all we owed but when I handed her 100.00 bill she said there was a 45.oo 1 time activation fee so I paid 75.00 got 25.00 back. But then found out that on prepaid there is no activation fee. And so friend called 611 and they said same thing and that she did not put an activation fee on account so where my money go it was easter Saturday when we got phone plan. So I guess it was a Happy Easter for her. I.agree I should checked paper it had only the 30.00 but I dealt with her often thought she was doing me right and i trusted her. And now I wonder how many other times I was took. I'm no longer dealing with her or that place until she leaves or gets fired. Cause if she did this to me how many others. I also will deal with check or money orders. Learned my lesson. And I do accept partial blame for not doing check and checking printout but I'm still so ashamed of her. We were told OH YES Your home is in the 5G area. You'll have no problem. The first few months were good. Then after that, we couldn't get internet nearly at all. We aren't putting multiple devices on it, we aren't running huge programs. Just loading internet pages is nearly impossible. I asked the store manager about it and she said, "Oh you're in a tough spot, directly between two towers so your service might try to jump between towers and slow down." Now we have a 5G router box that we had to pay $500 for, and we can't even get basic internet service. WHAT A WASTE.
