The food here is incredible for a college campus. They have great chefs working to provide a variety of food to appeal to a lot of students. There are always vegetarian options and often times vegan options too, even vegan pizza! If none of the options are appealing though there is even a diy station to make your own food, though it is often times busy, a place to order your own sandwich or wrap, and a place you can get a custom noodle bowl. Some of the food at Emily's garden comes from Skidmore's own garden and a lot of work goes into making the dining hall more sustainable. Read moreI attended Skidmore from 1978-1982. Compared to what it was like back then, the dining hall is far and away a 5! It's a massacre. Those giving low ratings have no idea what college dining halls were once like, even at high-priced schools. It's been a huge change that has greatly benefited the younger generations. Be appreciative. If you had to eat the way we used to have to, you would probably be traumatized.

Read moreFood is super hit or miss. There's always something for everyone but that something is most likely going to be serviceable instead of good. If you're a student it's bearable as the costs are covered in tuition. If you're visiting, expect to pay the price of meals from places like Burger Fi, TGI Fridays, Friendlys, etc.
