Having grown up and lived in Bridgeport, WV, adjacent to Clarksburg, both communities rich in Italian culture. They became entrepreneurs in industry, tailoring, and fabulous Italian cuisine. In 2013 I moved to Charleston, SC, known for its fine eateries and notable chefs but this land of shrimp and grits doesn't know great Italian cuisine. Every time I travel home I bring back jars of Oliverios Peppers and every visitor brings them when they visit. I have introduced my friends to their peppers in sauce and make a pie using them that my mother mother, who was French and German, used to make. My very traveled friend has become such a fan that he ordered at least a dozen jars of the varieties including their newest addition, spaghetti sauce with onions. It is FABULOUS!! I must also say they were so beautifully and safely packed that we marveled when we opened the boxes. It's also impossible to find a Clarksburg, WV Oliverio's style steak hoagie, so now I just travel with a can of these. Hot are my go-to. If you haven't tried these peppers yet, go get yourself some fresh Italian hoagie rolls, thinly slice up a ribeye (or less fatty cut if you're going to marinate... I use venison), sauté some veggies, butter and garlic sauté the beef, layer your bread meat veggies Oliverio's Peppers Mozz and Provolone on top then broil til the cheese is crisp. It'll NEVER be like what they serve in house, but it's as close as I can get...
So as OTR driver I expect shippers to show respect and be truthful about the items they are shipping. After I was loaded was when the lies started . I looked at my paperwork and saw there was no weight for there items so I asked and was told 39,000 lbs this was then verified with my dispatcher and broker . I adjusted as required and drove 30+ miles to the closet scale and guess what 82,000lbs not legal and obviously over there 39k . It was now after closing. I drove back in the morning and guess they lied . I talked to the boss and he admitted to loading to 48k .
