Absolutely worst experience! I showed up and asked permission to take pictures on their property for friends. They told us we had to pay them in order to take pictures of on their property, although their website and signs on the property state that pictures are fine. After being given permission to take pictures we had spent nearly 20 minutes doing the family pictures the husband and owner began telling us we needed to leave and that professional photography isn't allowed on their property. #1-I do not have a business. #2-His wife gave us permission and told us we had to pay in order to do it. Then he began telling us that it is posted when you enter, "No Professional photography". This is not true. Their is no sign stating this, and every sign actually says to take pictures!! Also, the wife gave us permission to do it. Our family has been to their farm every year and my kids have pictures since they were born here but I refuse to tolerate being treated this way. We will not be returning ever again. Worst business...
Read moreWe have enjoyed Boyd's for the past 3 years. It is a true pumpkin patch that you go into a field and pick your own pumpkins off the vine. They have a small swing set that my kids always enjoy. They have a couple of picnic tables. They always have some cute photo opportunities set up. They are cash only. They also have wagons available and there is no fee to use them. The only activity that they have is a corn maze and their is a few for that. The corn maze is pretty big but usually has emergency exits throughout. We went the first year and it was enjoyable. Some years they also have a field of Sunflowers that make for a nice photoshoot. I believe they have a portable potty bathroom but we have never needed to use the facilities here. There prices are more than reasonable and the pumpkins last a good while. We always have a good time and look forward to a trip...
Read moreI wanted my son to have this experience. I have a service dog and PTSD. We bought our pumpkins. Said hello to the staff. My dog was in a clearly visible vest for service animals. This man came out of nowhere. Didn't ask if it was a service animal. He just started saying my dog wasn't allowed there. They made me go into a full blown panic attack by confronting me. It was humiliating and embarrassing. I have a service dog so I don't have to take so many medications that Im so out of it; that I can't enjoy my sons laughter. I will never go back. In future, a PROFESSIONAL inquiry as to a dog accompanying a person; ask if it is a service animal BEFORE you go into a confrontation with the owner. Blabbing on about insurance. Its the LAW to allow service dogs without causing the handler distress. We can ALL read your sign that states no pets....
